  1. 2021+ Bronco ForScan Thread

FYI, ForScan just published an update that adds support for 2021 Bronco’s and 2022 F150’s. Be sure to grab version 2.3.42 here: https://forscan.org/download.html

I compared the calibration file from a 4 Door Full Size Bronco to the modules in my 2021 F150 and to no surprise most of the ECU's are the same. There's different calibration strategies to keep in mind, but Bronco owners can get a big head start with their ForScan mods by reading through this...

WARNING! Any changes made to as built data in our 2021 F150 and presumably all Broncos will report back to Ford servers and overwrite the from-factory config. So if anyone uses ForScan, Tuners or other software to edit settings, please note that the As Built profile downloaded from Motocraft...
  4. 2021+ Bronco ForScan Thread

If you get a VIN number for a new Bronco, we can download the data profile for that VIN using this MotoCraft website: https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt Once we have a data profile for a few Broncos, that data can be compared against the 2021 F150 using this utility...

You will likely need to toggle remote start parameters on in the IPC and BCM. If your Bronco has the same modules as my truck this can be worked out quickly. We may all have to wait for a ForScan update; these vehicles are too new.

In ForScan you can monitor all the PID's that make up the algorithm for Auto Stop Start. There's dozens of conditions which must be met for the auto stop start system to engage: battery charge level, engine temperature, fuel level, steering wheel angle, coolant temperature, ect... It's possible...

I replied to a PM but wanted to repost it here for everyone else. If the new 6G Bronco has the same BCM as the new F150's, you guys have a huge advantage because enabling / disabling many vehicle features have already been mapped out and tested on the F150 forums. My reply to a recent PM...

Congratulations to the German who found the Lincoln Aviator images in his Mustang's Sync 3 system. It further demonstrates my point that Ford probably has or will stuff pictures of the Bronco into the Sync system of new Ford models. I have no 2020 Ford's at my disposal to experiment with, but...

That or go take a 2020 explorer on a really long test drive lol. If I happen to rent a newer Ford any time in the next year, I'll take a peek.
  10. 2021+ Bronco ForScan Thread

I'd bet Ford has stock pictures of the Bronco and Baby Bronco hiding in plain sight in every new Ford vehicle being sold today. I mean the bronco boot animation is clearly already there so if the new Explorer is built into the remote climate control startup visualizations, other cars must be...

That's pretty hilarious, even Ford isn't that wasteful. They'll usually have different versions of jumpers or harnesses and the physical parts will be replaced with a blank plug. The trailer brake control module is a great example. Every F150, Expedition, Super Duty, ect... has the wiring...

Here are the current mappings of Sync 3.3 and what you can expect to have the ability to toggle on and off in your Bronco with the use of a laptop and software like IDS or ForScan.

It's never safe to assume anything. Between My Ford Touch and Sync 3, most of the HEX values in the memory addresses found in the APIM remained identical. Across Sync 3.0, 3.2, 3.3 and the complete refreshed UI found in Sync 3.4 (which looks identical to Sync 4), the memory addresses all...

  15. 2021+ Bronco ForScan Thread

An anonymous Ford owner has brought this to my attention. By exploring the current sync 3.4 bluetooth naming convention it's been discovered that the smaller Ford Bronco will be called the Bronco Maverick and both Bronco's will use the same startup screen. Again this is something Ford has...
