Ford should keep the base 2 door, bare bones, offer few upgrades, and get them out there fast. Price for entry level 4x4 around $30k-$33k would be reasonable. I'll even suggest offering the entry level base Bronco with option for rear wheel drive only, with manual transmission, priced around...

2-door base, manual, with factory Big Bend wheels and tires, 16,000 miles - dash shows 21.7 mpg which after tire size correction = 23.06 mpg. This is my daily driving about 50/50, freeway/city.

I agree with this, keep your order and get the bronco. Ford is increasing prices on them to cover loses on other vehicles. IMO they're already priced above their value and I wouldn't buy mine again at todays msrp. Instead I'd get the new landcruiser.
