Kinda shocked that no one mentioned the Ford Floor mats. They don't fully cover the dead pedal and you will always have sand/dirt under the matter because of this.
Very disappointing to see that there is still no fix and that current models still have this issue. Went to VT to see the Eclipse and drove down some dirt roads (windows closed) and that was as bad as I have heard them rattle. I have been toying with the idea of getting rid of my BD and buying a...
Oh I totally agree. This is not normal. This should not occur. This is not their first indexing frameless window. This is not some new fancy tech. Windows should be able to go up and down and not make a noise driving down the street when hitting a pebble in the street.
It is that this is just...
I was just at the dealer last week for a couple things, one being the window rattle and wanted to have them do SSM 50711 to try to address it. However, I was told that SSM 50711 was removed from the SSM list. I have no reason to not believe this as that they showed me what they were looking at...
Happens when closing the door, from the inside. Prob should have said that in the beginning. Never noticed it happen when closing the door from the outside from my observations. It may in fact have something to with starting the car at the same time as 91tii indicated.
Yup. That’s exactly my problem. Didn’t think or observe if I was starting the car or not with the door open. Great observation. Keeping an eye on that.
The difference in speed when you take off the mud flaps between the two options is small. The biggest thing imo would be an inconvenience needing to have an allen wrench in the car.
I have had these for about 10k. Aside from the issues when they first released (which was fixed and fedex'd to...
You think that would even apply to here? The window goes up and down automatically just fine. It is also doing the auto indexing just fine. It is more of a problem with when it is auto indexing. I mean I guess it is worth a shot trying that.
Has anyone run into this issue? Basically the window will auto index fully up when I start to close the door, rather than after the door is closed. When this happens I am closing the door with the window all the way up and it is like I am going to break the window. Drivers side - 4 door.
This...
My dealer did state that this is on Ford to fix. Unfortunately my dealer has not fully fixed it for me yet. Still happening. Going on the 3rd visit so far. Not sure if this would qualify my car for a lemon. You can go to any dealer. If that is an option, you should.
The notes said they pulled dtc and got code u0145. That led them to doing some guided routine which turned out normal.
Probably reseated the connectors.
Did it say "Parking Brake Fault (Service Now)" ? If so... that has happened a few times on by BD. It is in the shop now for a different reason. They are supposed to take a look at that also.
The only thing the dealer told me is to have people note it with the dealer and Ford.
Just sucks... since I love this car and enjoying the radio is a big part of the driving experience for me. Lucky it's only the AM/FM transmission that is affected. Listening to the radio through cap play works.
