Interesting. You, too on the TPMS. I was amazed how accurate, and quick to keep up with changing pressure, the Bronco TPMS is compared to me previous 2016 F150.
I've had my PLB-40 running my Dometic frig for 20 months now. They are on my set of jack planks/extraction boards, held in place nicely by rubber bungie cords. The bungie hooks onto the floor loops, works amazingly well. I charge it off the 120v outlet. I have plans for a roof solar panel under...
Not to be a killjoy, but I've never understood why someone would store, then string out 60 feet of tubing, just to air down tires. I've been using screw on deflators for years. I find that by the time I've screwed on the 4th one, leisurely walking around the car, the first tire is done. Here's...
Nothing to be concerned about at all, IMO. All the softtops can deploy that way, in my case, my Skyrider folds onto my half-rack, but I wouldn't worry a bit about that.
Looks like a nice system for running my frig. Since this replaces one starting battery with two batteries, one of which is now the starting battery, how much capacity am I giving up yo make the switch? Ie, how much smaller in amp hours or other measurements is the new starting battery compared...
It appears you have 33" Badlands tires, so you're not inflating 35" tires. I have Badlands Take-offs on my OBX, 33" Nitto Nomad Grapplers. 18# to 35#. DEFLATE: I recommend screw-on deflators. I used to use Delaware tackle shop versions, for years. A pair is fine, 4 is better. Now I got fancy...
Its the Natural Model Cycle: I remember reading an analytical article a decade or two ago (in Car and Driver, I think) about the relative advantage and disadvantage of buying early or late in a new model cycle. The thesis was that price-wise, buying in the first year (or two) of new car model...
I don't have experience installing Sunriders, ,and I haven't seen one up close in person. I was among the first to get the Skyrider, some of us with the 2021 4dr were petitioning Besttop to develop a two-row, 4dr unit which was not available in 2021. As you described installing the Sunrider, its...
I believe it's the opposite, the 4dr Sunrider is shorter than (covers less real-estate) than the 2dr. The 2dr panels are longer than the 4dr front panels, because the 2dr is missing the mid-panel. I have the Skyrider, which covers two rows on the 4dr and that is alot of real estate.
Be sure to air down at the Air Down station, I do 20#. The air pumps near the Lighthouse are very busy on weekends, lines, bring your own pump if you can. During Summer, be sure to reserve and purchase a weekly beach tag, they can run out. It's worth the trip; read the corridor rules for parking...
I spray it inside the engine bay, carefully, because that's where they seem to chew the Subaru. Haven't sprayed the Bronco much, because no apparent activity, so just a few preventative shots. We believe my wife's car is mostly chewed at her workplace, which has lots of tree cover . . . But we...
I check both our cars engine bay weekly for signs of rodents, mainly clumps of leaves, pine needles or acorns. I then blow it out with my leaf blower, and spray a natural pepper-based repellant. For some reason my wife's Subaru is very tasty. One time, the battery shorted out from a bed of...
I've used the single for 2 years, works well for 33" tires inflating to 35#. However, if I had 35" tires, based on my experience and this review, I'd upgrade to the twin for my next install.
Thanks so much for doing this review. I also installed the ARB single in the Fall of 2021. I used the 4x4LED bracket, now I believe ARB has a bracket. It does get quite hot. It takes about 2.5 minutes each to inflate my 33" Nitto Nomad Grapplers from 18# to 35# on the beach, one at a time. I...
Tires are so location and vehicle-use specific that I've found it helpful to assume I'll need several sets of tires for some vehicles. If I lived up North still, I'd have a set of snow/Ice tires and Summer tires. My current Nitto Nomad Grappler tires are great for highway and beach. But if I...
It seems to not be a white top, but an off white or cream (from the photo) so I'd say no door handle colors. If you want more, maybe a thin pin stripe at the belt line. Its What I did.
