UPDATE: finally fixed! After two ford engineers and six weeks in the shop I just told them to read the owners manual and problem solved. No but seriously after all that they tracked it down to a connection issue with the antanna for the fob issue but that had no effect on the shifting problem...

I attempted the fob holder in the console. Had no effect.

Same here. My account will only change on the phone to activation pending but no pop up ever appears in the vehicle. Tried most all suggestions. May be more of a connectivity issue because the car also never sees a WiFi network where as my explorer has no problem in the same location.

Exactly. The hitch guys that this dealer uses said they haven’t seen one of these in person yet so they want me to run it by and see how much is prewired and I need a trailer break controller so they want to see if that’s prepped. I’ll let you know what I find out. Sucks the first editions...
