Here here. I think the success of the Bronco depends on it. If it comes with a static hard top it'll just be another SUV and you can expect Jeep to continue to dominate the segment.
I believe Ford has said that cheap gas prices are a very small part of the decision to introduce 4 new SUVs. Even if gas prices went back up they would go forward with the plans since SUV demand just keeps going up and up.
I hope the next Bronco does NOT look like that. It's way too pedestrian and looks like a warmed over Explorer. I really hope it's got more of a Jeep feel to it for lack of a better comparison.
I'd like to see a truly compact SUV like the Broncos of past so I'm hoping for a 2 door version. There's enough Ford SUVs to cover the demand for those that want bigger.
