I would probably be soldering it back together at that price!
I was thinking of doing that and still might on the old one but I want a fresh new start to at least begin with.
Agreed it was not the VCX NANO issue. after using the Mongoose though it is way easier. However once you get the VCX to talk to FDRS that for sure could work
Anytime I worked on the Bronc I disconnected the battery specially if im doing anything electrical. I hate electricity and dont feel like getting shocked or short something so I always disconnect.
No I didn't touch + and - terminals because the the above stated reasons.
Im guessing water got...
So after talking with @Ducati1098 He pointed me in the direction of two Fuses (F24) 10A for the 20GA wire in location #3 of the PSCM connecter C1463A and the High current Junction box 60A Fuse. of course it wasn't the 10A fuse because that would be too easy, but I found the 60A fuse was blown in...
Correction I originally USED the VCX NANO however I am using the Mongoose-Plus now and NOT the VCX NANO.
That connector that @zuke posted is the connecter that only has the positive and negative leads, No 18GA wires in it. There is no singe marks on the new steering rack posts, the old...
I am doing this programming completely on my own on my own vehicle before I go over and help my buddy out. I did use his vehicle purely as a test vessel for establishing communication to see if it was just my vehicle reacting in a certain way, I didn't program anything into his I didn't change...
I ordered and installed aftermarket Tie rods as preventative decision so I didn't snap one on the trails like my buddy did while we were out camping. The boots supplied by the company didn't fit exactly on the tearing rack the boots ended up tearing leaving the internals of the rack exposed to...
Yes, I have no clue why this isnt working, im learning how to use these programs, so I am asking for assistance form those who im sure have way more experience than I do.
I appreciate your concern for maintaining the sanctity of the forum so that we can still do our intended modifications, I assure you I do not work for Ford in any capacity, I just want to drive my Bronco again lol.
If the PSCM is grey it's not reading, you will need to troubleshoot the connection. Check the pins in the connector on the back of the steering rack motor. Make sure you didn't pinch any wires.
What Vin did you use? All 2023 Wildtrak vins seamed to check out. Using a 2022 WildTrak VIN
Hey all,
Im trying to program a new Steering rack that I installed into my '22 Bad Lands 2.3 M/t Bronco. I installed the new rack however when programming it the PSCM does not establish a connection with anything it gives me a U0131:87 error Lost Communication with Power Steering Control...
Dudes I desperately need your help. I installed a HOSSS 3.0 steering rack into my 2022 BL 2.3 M/T, install no problem at all 0 issues following @rtaylor instructions. I open up FORscan and I get U0131:87 Code on the BCM, and in the config tab there is no PSCM listed. I open up FDRS connect and I...
