Yeah this was a big thing when we all found out that the tow package didn't really do anything other than add a hitch and 7-pin wiring.
Typically when you add a tow package to a vehicle, you get things like larger batteries, bigger alternators, extra cooling, ETC. But with the Bronco, you get squat... Adding in the brake controller would at least given us something.
But they nickel and dime you with the Bronco, and they slowly (well maybe not so slowly) have been taking away more and more.
Oh, and in my state, 1,500 lbs requires trailer brakes.
