Got caught in a pop up shower yesterday with the top off and now the garage door opener isn’t working. Hopefully after it sets out it will work again.

Similar happend to me and it was parked at the time with doors and top off. The garage door opener didn't work for about 2-3 weeks, then started working once it completely dried out. I only attempted to try it once a day for fear of shorting it out somehow. But it's been working for around 8-10 months since the incident.

Was this the universal remote on the bronco?

No, I didn't have to. Once it dried out, it resumed working. It just took a few weeks to dry.

That’s happened to me as well. Works again after drying out. I’ve learned to fold the visors down if there’s a chance of rain. 😀
