Been keeping up with development news on both the new Wrangler Bronco and this just dropped... pretty much confirms the new Wrangler won't be keeping its fully removable top.
No cut lines on the roof!

The Bronco has never been as hardcore off-road capable as the Wrangler. It's more of a lifestyle car. I think they can still get it "right" because 1) the T6 chassis is good enough for some off road duty, 2) Ford has better powertrains than FCA, 3) Ford has better quality than FCA, and 4)...
Another reason to bring the Bronco back now and part of the reason why SUVs are on fire like the article says, is because of the historically low gas prices. No doubt we'll see gas prices go back up at some point in the 3-4 years until the Bronco is said to be coming to market. Hopefully when...
Problem is if the Bronco isn't due until 2019/2020 that's still 3-4 years away. If a company announces a new model too early they risk people getting bored of talking and hearing about it by the time the car actually comes out. The new NSX is a good example of a car announced way too early.. by...
^^^ looks like a military transport truck.. in a good way.
Ford is eating everyone's breakfast when it comes to pickups so no surprise that others want a piece of that action.. especially with gas prices being so crazy low. With the success it has with its truck platform, it also makes sense...
They just debuted a new Ranger last March so there shouldn't be an all new one, it should just be bringing a US spec version to the states in a few years. That was bad wording on my part. I just meant "one of these vehicles" as in the Bronco.
I doubt we see one this year or even next year. Ford doesn't have a history of releasing concepts years in advance like some automakers. In fact it seems recently they prefer to skip the concept altogether and go straight for the reveal. They did this with the Mustang, Ford GT, etc
Another article on this: http://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/detroit-auto-show/2016/01/12/ford-adding-4-new-suvs-ford-lincoln-brands/78685618/
Ford plans to add four new utility vehicles to the lineup over the next few years and they will be new nameplates, including at least one for the...
Not according to the inside sources. Rumor is also that the 6G Bronco will be based on the next Ranger platform so it would make sense for the Ranger to hit the market first.
I think we'll find out soon since 2018 is a hop and skip away and a concept is bound to drop for one of these...
It's funny how that photoshop spread like wildfire. I know it was just an April Fools joke but I bet FORD must have taken notice how excited everyone got at the thought of a Bronco revival
Ford trucks are on a roll these days! They can't make enough F-150's so makes sense they'd want to add to their truck line up.
I'd personally love to see the Bronco back after almost 20 years.
