Well they have always struck me as disingenuous at best, and outright frauds at worst.
For anyone who knows the short history of this "community of enthusiasts" that sprouted in Dearborn MI, it isn't all that surprising.
I dig it if it looks like that. Orange has a tendency to look too yellow in direct light so I'm hoping it's more on the dark orange/bronze part of the spectrum.
The one I'm really looking forward to is Antimatter Blue. The one in this digital swatch looks a lot darker than what's shown in the...
Blame Ford. Their color palettes always have too many versions of gray/silver. We'll see how far they stray with the Bronco. My guess is for the first year it will be pretty standard set with a launch color and more unique colors out in subsequent years.
Good to see a lot of physical buttons. Question is how much of an added cost this big screen will run.
Also need to see what's behind the 'features' menu....
Nothing new but at least it means Ford is ready to open the floodgates. They have been super tight liipped but the next few months until the reveal will hopefully be lots more.
Wow that's huge! I really wonder how much of this will be shared with the big Bronco. I'm really hoping the U725 has a more blunt headlight (in shape and placement) than that.
Even under the tarp it's better looking than the Troller. That forward leaning rake is gone and it actually sits tougher. Man I hope like everyone else that shape is retained when they actually build it.
Rumor is the next Wrangler won't have a sport bar but a solid roof structure that may or may not be removable. All those crash rollover regulations are catching up and it's getting more and more expensive to build convertibles. It'll be a sad day if Ford releases a Bronco with a completely fixed...
+100 you hit the nail on the head. Jeeps are EVERYWHERE but for good reason but if given a choice of an equally capable modern Bronco I will take it any day over a Wrangler. I do have my doubts since Ford seems perfectly happy just pleasing 90% of the mainstream public who just wants an SUV that...
I agree but it could be said its partly because it went out a 2 door that production stopped no? Not only did they replace it with the 4 door Expedition but the next one will be based on the 4 door Ranger platform. And the Ford Everest which sells decent well overseas is probably the predecessor...
I read that the next Wrangler will have aluminum doors and hood. No doubt it makes the cars more expensive but the Wrangler is one of FCA's best selling vehicles so the investment is worth it. I'm not sure Ford feels the same about the Bronco. Even at it's height it was never a big volume seller.
Are we assuming the 3.5L Ecoboost from the F-150 wouldn't fit under the hood of a new Bronco? Not sure if I am missing something why it would need to be mounted behind the driver. I'd think the 3.5L would be the perfect candidate for a Raptor Bronco if they ever made one.
The timing (2 years apart) might make sense with that theory but the UAW agreement mentions 2 new SUVs at the Michigan Plant, not one new SUV with a limited edition variant.
