  12. We're going on a ski trip in California this winter. Caltrans says I need to have tire chains on board. Can anyone suggest some?

    Unless You are towing something, You don't need chains on a 4 Wheel drive. I've lived here for 30 years and have never been asked to put chains on my 4 wheel drive except when towing a trailer.
