I took delivery of my 2024 Badlands Sasquatch in February. I love it. It’s every thing I want out of an “off-road” vehicle. Well except maybe a raptor. I have recommended them to numerous people from my local Jeep and off road community.
Two weeks ago, around 2700 miles, I received a suite of warnings on the dash and limp mode. After shutting the vehicle down and restarting only ABS, traction control lights remained. Typical signs of wheel speed sensor failure. My dealer found the right rear sensor bad but, it also had a decent piece of metal on the magnetic end (worrisome). Dealer said no worries on that….no ETA on a new sensor but my wife happens to be the sales manager and they had a new Bronco down with other issues so they “borrowed” a sensor from it to get me on my way (had a small overland trip the next day).
Now at 3000 I have a parking brake fault and the parking brake will not engage. I know neither of these issues are critical but, I’m really starting to lose my faith in this vehicle. Especially since I do mildly off road it, often times with my young son. How long before it leaves me stranded on a trail somewhere?
Do I have any grounds to ask Ford for any type of assistance? I have no dealer complaints and I love my Ford vehicles. Unfortunately I’m losing faith in the quality and ruggedness of this Bronco….
