Similar issues with my 7MT badlands. Ran both 87 and 93 at times. Cold starts and warm starts both had same issue. Only in first 2-3 minutes of a drive. And never reoccurring, just randomly. Currently at 11k miles
Notice any major changes with 37s? Like or dislike of a heavier tire?
Same here, when moving over large rocks, along with heavy traffic crawler can be nice
It was something someone told when in a MT vehicle, not to run the engine on low RPMs while trying to accelerate. (Granny shifting might be a good word for it) Now this might be something I was mislead to believe, it is all I knew/know. Thus the reason for the thread question, for my...
Good to know! I was unsure of how many people out there went with the MT on a Badlands. Ill be sure to keep my RPMs in the powerband more often when traveling higher speeds. MPG might suffer, though better than heavy wear and tear on the engine/drivetrain.
Did not know that about the brakes, I...
Good to know, I wasn’t sure how strong the 2.3L was under pressure. The 7MT has been excellent! I know off-roading a manual can be a struggle. Although 4L in the crawler works great. In saving the clutch that is
Gotcha, good to know! I agree with you on the power band. Just never seemed off running in 6th full time. Right, never know what long term could be best.
So far I’ve had a chance to drive my Badlands on Spas Creek in slade county Kentucky. Along with many miles on highway and inner city Lexington.
It easily took on spas creek. Ran 80% of it in first/second gear 4L. Mainly to save trans. No lockers engaged. Sway bar disconnected here and there...
I’m at 2600 miles on my Badlands MT. I have noticed that same effect with mine. At very low speeds and under low throttle(near coasting). Mainly in first. Hardly noticeable in second. Once it reaches 80ish degrees. Everything is good
Line-x does underbody coatings. I'm sure they could do the pinch welds as well. Just an optional alternative to prevent rain/debris buildup that other accessories may cause
I would highly consider selling mine if you have not found someone to buy from yet. Will be in Lexington KY starting this January. DM me at [email protected] if you would like my contact info for when time comes
I am going with the MT just for the fact of better selecting gears when off roading. Plus I prefer MT over auto. It is a fun driving experience. Although it can be tiring at times. Like someone mentioned earlier, go with your hearts desire on which you think you'll find the most enjoyment out of!
From my understanding, order banks open on the 7th of December for converting reservations to orders. Said to be early December, although this forum found a post that it will be the 7th
I sold my 2017 Shelby GT350 in anticipation of this ride being revealed. I am with you on the wait, I have plans to go overlanding next summer. Although when it does arrive. I know it's gonna be a great ride! I'm still very excited ?
I get the feeling we may hear more. Once they are done in pre-production phase. Although this is I wanna say the second vehicle they have ever put up for reservation. So potentially some kinks to work out. Right, I agree with you. I hope to hear more or have training come up here shortly
