I’ve never been a fan of the “add white stuff to be heritage” look. It’s usually a jumble of gray, white and body colors that tend to wreck the idea. But you just changed my entire view with this one. It’s stunning. The white wheels and hubcaps pull the whole look together, and the painted...
My dealer has been happy, twice, to put a sticker on without a plate. In fact, I chatted with the manager about it, and they said they rarely put plate brackets on any of the Broncos they sell, because nobody wants one.
Having said all of that, I did pop the front plate on with very strong...
I don’t want to hijack the thread, but in my case it’s the guide pins in the removable panels clicking as the body flexes. Easy to bandaid fix, but it always comes back. There’s a TSB and extensive earlier discussion on the forum, with all sorts of creative solutions. Again…. YMMV.
I have a manual Badlands Sasquatch 2 door. I absolutely love it, with 25K miles in.
BUT if I lived in the city or if I had a high traffic commute, I would not buy a Bronco, and certainly not one with a stick or Sasquatch. It’s a GREAT vehicle but it sucks in stop and go traffic, and the tires...
Are the new tires the same diameter as the original ones? I’n too lazy to look up the stock size or do the calculation, but if the tire circumference is for example,, 10% larger, your speedo, odo, and and mpg gauge will be reduced commensurately. You might be traveling further than you think...
I’ve already had to have the battery replaced on my 22 2.3L with 24K miles. I typically drive only every other day or so, and very short (1-2 mile) distances unless I’m doing a long road trip. It started with an app error saying I needed to drive more to charge my battery. The error message...
I think the Jeep does the retro look better.
While I am sure I’m in the minority here, I think the white trim on the Heritage Broncos is odd….it’s overdone and trying way too hard.
Having said that I’d rather have a root canal than actually drive any distance in a Jeep penalty box.
My first time wheeling in a stock 2 door Badlands SAS, I joined a group of lifted Jeeps and was lined up waiting to hit the trail. This was back when Broncos were very rare and I got lots of eyeballs. One crusty old dude came over and said I was in the wrong group, as some of the trails would...
I drove my 2 door Badlands Sasquatch in the windy Shenandoah Valley VA area earlier in the week, with winds gusting near 50mph.. It gets pushed around more than a car, but it was no big deal. My Cummins Ram was worse in the wind.
Just to be safe I drove my Bronco through some salt water at the beach shortly after delivery. And I never crawl underneath as I’d rather be surprised when pieces fall off.
Yes, I’m familiar with the fact it doesn’t recognize all streets and highway speeds. I get no display of speed anywhere.
I believe it picks up GPS data that includes speed limits from the nav….or it did when it worked.
Not sure if I have a brain cramp. Does the Bronco have a little speed limit sign in the upper left corner of the instrument display?
The dealer recently updated my Badlands dashboard software to troubleshoot an unrelated problem (Yeah, oddly, the instrument display flash seems to be a separate...
