  1. Raptor Off-Roadeo 6/22/24 - Info please

Thanks for the input- im trying to figure out when to schedule my visit as well. I hope they haven't toned it down as the Baja and Jump are of the most interest to me. I have alot of off road & rock crawling experience. Not so much the high speed stuff (East Coast wheeler).
  2. DO NOT pay over MSRP for a 2024

Thanks! That's my Hot Pepper Red- looks more burnt orange in the sun. I have 7,000 miles on it in the 3 months of owning it and love it. Even paying under MSRP, it was still a big chunk of dough. I have no regrets- nothing but smiles since driving it!
  3. Little touches make a difference

There was someone doing these as decals, but was recently forced to stop. A decal similar to the raised 'Raptor' decals available now would be great, but no one can touch the 'Ford Performance' logos at the moment.
  4. Rear-ended. Cool now I got an extra Tire & rim. Ford F%^&*% Ranger!!!!

No damage to the aftermarket bumper or how it’s mounted?
  5. Wrong fender! Are you kidding me?

I'm with you on this one... How does the factory round flare fit on that squared fender? If it had the square flare, how did the OP not see that? Or is this the case of a wreck repair or square fender upgrade gone wrong at the dealer?? Anything is possible with Ford, but it's hard to...
  6. RIP Dorman Inner Tie Rod *update loose control arm bolt

What did you fail on the Dormans? Did they fail in a similar manner to your stock tie-rods?
  7. 6g and another Bronco.

following- I like the direction of this build so far! Retro SoCal look needs som KC HiLites across the roof!
  8. What do you pay for insurance ?

$50 per month on top of my other cars.
  9. 1100 mile road trip on Bronco Raptor

I just completed my 1600 mile round trip- mostly highway- 800 miles in each of two days (~12.5 hours up and 11.5 hours back). I was the only driver and left Cruise on at 75-80mph most of the way. Weird that from VA to MA, it was 18.1mpg and MA to VA was 17.2mpg. Used 87 Octane at every stop...
  10. Minimalist Jack Upgrades (Raptor and Non-Raptor)

I have been rock crawling for most of my adult life (30+ years but not any sort of professional). Everything from stockish street vehicles to purpose built buggies. For the entirety of that time I carried a bottle jack and 4x4 block of wood. Is it sexy- no- it just flat works (up to 44" tires...
  11. 13 inch wide tires on stock wheels

Do you have pictures of the stock wheels with the 13.5 tires and spacers on your Raptor? Would be interested in seeing the spacing between the UCA and tire as well as clearance at full lock in both directions. Separate question- you only have the body lift, no suspension mods for 39s? What...
  12. Toyo M/T or Nitto Trail Grappler M/T

I’ve seen them on a lot of YouTubers with decent reviews but how much is advertising versus preference. Several have moved away from them too. they may be a good option to jump from the BFG AT For weight and price.
  13. Toyo M/T or Nitto Trail Grappler M/T

I had not looked at those- not a big fan of the tread and sidewall If I'm chasing looks. I wonder how the last compared to some brand name tires under a 6,000lb vehicle.
  14. Toyo M/T or Nitto Trail Grappler M/T

I haven't dug that far into it yet, but saw a video from Godspeed RZR on spacers and I believe he used 1.5" (see below). Generally not a big fan of spacers, but if you keep them torqued, they shouldn't load the wheel bearings any more than offset wheels. I would like to go with 13.5" wide...
  15. 1100 mile road trip on Bronco Raptor

About to venture off on a 1,600 mile round trip journey this weekend. I hope I get something close to this mpg, but I would not chose to drive anything else I own. I cannot stand the ACC as its uncomfortable for me if I chose to change lanes when it see a car- it slows immediately. I need...
  16. Toyo M/T or Nitto Trail Grappler M/T

This is disappointing... the Nittos fit the Raptor so much better than the BFG AT and really the BFG MT as well. There doesn't seem to be alot of space with the upper control arm, but I thought it would be enough... Had the Raptor come with the BFG MT, I would run them until they wore out...
  17. Toyo M/T or Nitto Trail Grappler M/T

On the Nitto- Where and how did they rub? Upper control arm at the bulge apex of the tire? Upper control arm at full lock? bumper, fender?? Got pics of the BFG MTs? How much clearance was there? was that 37x12.5 R17 or 37x13.5 R17?
  18. Age and Reason for 2door and 4door buyers

52- 4 Door Raptor 1) the Raptor only comes in 4 door 2) I like the room of a 4 door better. I like the looks of both, but as pointed out- the 4Dr is where the volume is for the family aspect. I could add that for off-road, wheelbase works- not that the raptor goes off road alot. I would...
  19. QUESTION: Aluminum vs. Steel: aluminum or steel in car bodies?

No need to bash a vendor who is looking for constructive input... Aluminum is lighter... that is probably the only perceived benefit in my mind. Steel and aluminum can both be coated or painted with similar success and both will protect parts of the vehicle you are trying to protect...
  20. Toyo M/T or Nitto Trail Grappler M/T

I have owned the Nitto, Toyo and the Cooper STT on various vehicles over time. -Nitto 35x12.5 R17was very good on my 3/4t F250 and had over 30k miles on a heavy truck when I sold it- still plenty of miles. -Toyo is great on my '75 Bronco street queen (37x13.5 R15). They are a heavy tire on a...
