Got to the beach with the family on Sunday. The Bronco feels incredibly capable on the sand when aired down to 20 psi.
Was a solid first beach fishing trip with the truck but highlighted a few storage-related issues. Thankfully the Memorial Day sales were still happening so I got some good...
Dueler Revo 3s are freaking amazing. I've run 35" Duelers on a diesel F250 and on an Expedition both with great results. They're quiet, ride great, have amazing traction, and the tread wear is the best I've experienced on any tire I've run.
They're going on my Bronco when the time comes. I have...
Have they said they have that in the works? I was planning on reaching out to them to request that very thing.
Rivnuts are easy as anything to install and I'd have this ordered in an instant if I knew where to drill the holes.
That's now 2 old-school TW guys that have found me on this forum. Derek pinged me in my initial thread and I hadn't seen him since WAY back in my Primm racing days!
At least a few of us have continuing good taste in vehicles 😁
I'm running the soft top and it's noticeable but not bad by any stretch. The hard top is even quieter. It's not a luxury sedan so don't expect silence. Some wind, some road noise, some creaks and rattles depending on what you're hauling and how it's stored, etc. It's all to be expected...
Totally minor and admittedly not worth posting in this thread but it's absolutely huge to me.
I received and mounted my license plates today!!
Out-of-state purchase meant longer than normal wait for registration and whatnot. The dealer temp tag expired on May 5th and the truck's been sitting...
Great video and surprisingly engaging commentary. When I bought my truck used the power seats were a pleasant surprise but the lack of washout flooring was not. This is on my "eventually" list.
Any change in road noise going from the carpet to the washout? Their product seems to be thicker...
Those rockers and doors are rusting through, control arms and frame are likely not in great shape either, and who knows the maintenance on whatever's under the hood.
Once my 2010 Expedition EL became unreliable enough for family road trips, it got replaced. At this stage in that (or my)...
As promised. No great, not terrible. I may angle it a slightly when my actual plates show up. The mount has some wiggle room before tightening the bolts and metal can always be bent. I'll play around with it and see if following the angle of the bumper and bottom of the grill looks any...
Man, you really know how to kick a guy when he's down lol
I don't have a pic with a plate yet because I'm still waiting on my plates. Cross-state title transfers apparently take up to 60 days, which is concerning when the temporary plate is only good for 30. My truck's been sitting idle since...
I can at least help on the license plate bracket. I don't like how low some of the aftermarket brackets hang and stumbled on this one while searching alternatives. I flipped around the orientation during installation and like the end result.

Obviously that comes up a lot but the only options available tie into rigidly-mounted racks in the rear.
I suspect that during testing of any such product there's some forward/rearward movement of the windshield frame that results in cracked glass. It's the only reason I can think of that...
