On the subject of the General Grabber AT/X, don't knock em until you try em. I have had many A/Ts on various vehicles and these are by far my favorite on my TJ. They are super quiet on-road, impressive handling, comfortable, and look amazing. Off-road, they'll take just about anything you throw...
Is Ford embargoing owners from commenting on how they drive until the press reviews? Haven't seen a single owner comment on driveability yet...
Congrats though
There was a Town and Country TV video posted on YouTube recently where Mitchell Watts ended up with a manual Bronco for the Dealer rep Off-Rodeo. Obviously he couldn't say much as far as driving impressions but basically said while rock crawling, he never had to even touch the clutch. Leave it...
I definitely agree with the color. They both looked great but the Iconic Silver looked amazing in person. I definitely prefer a lighter color on the Bronco not only because it will hide trail rash better but the darker colors don't really do the subtle lines of this rig justice.
To anyone...
Not to hijack but I stopped by yesterday as well.
First time seeing them in person and I was really impressed. They're a bit bigger than I expected and the squatched Black Diamond had serious presence! I think most people will be perfectly happy with anything 33" and up as I thought the stock...
Pulled my reservation. Every time new information is released, it's another disappointment. The final blow for me was no mid-package with manual on anything other than Badlands. It's like they're doing everything they can to not sell manuals. So Ford is just forcing people into spending more...
Well that sucks. The last gen Focus had heated seats, mirrors and steering wheel as a standalone option for $600 but you can't get it in a $40k bronco without adding the lux package. Thanks Ford.
Definitely hoping for a cold weather package separate from the mid package. The only thing I really care about in that package is the heated seats. I haven't heard any mention of a heated steering wheel yet though.
And yeah, my TJ's heater will straight up burn you on high haha.
My fiance has a manual Crosstrek. It's actually an awesome little ride only let down by it's lack of power. The manual makes it tolerable though. But yeah, 152 hp really doesn't cut it.
If they made a Crosstrek WRX I'd actually consider buying one.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little worried about this new manual trans. It's a new, unproven unit and it's likely going to be manufactured in China.
At the end of the day though, I wouldn't be buying a Bronco without a manual so I'll have to take my chances. The 10AT is just so pedestrian...
Currently reserved at Portsmouth Ford in Portsmouth NH as I've bought many vehicles from them and always been happy. I will be switching though as they've been extremely vague and are giving me the run-around about pricing. I've asked three separate times about adm or dealer markup and they've...
I agree. I do think everything is finalized at this point mechanically though. I think the "testing" is for huge amounts of free publicity (keeps people talking about it) and probably fine tuning software/ECM parameters.
Yeah I did check that out, thanks. It really depends on the vehicle. I think the factory 33's on the Gladiator rubicon's look pretty small but they look good on the Wrangler. All relative to the vehicle I suppose.
