I put in a deposit on a Nissan Z, but unlike the Bronco, I didn't join the Z forum and spend a couple years of my life checking in daily and knowing all the little details. However I do check them every once in a while, and the talk is EXACTLY the same as what we've seen here on B6G. People...
I love the new Z! I've got a deposit in on one.
I agree the front grill is a weird one. They made it better by adding some accents to it, but this Fairlady one is fabulous! I wrote message to Nissan saying that the production car should have that grill.
Two separate things. Sure, we'd all probably love it if dealerships were replaced and we bought cars like toilet paper and got warranty and repair work from the manufacturer. (Have you tried that with your dishwasher?) But currently that is not the system, and we are not even close to abolishing...
I wonder if this will help clear anything up. (Probably not.)
On the same forum (B6G), we've got one thread where dealers are being called scum for tacking on a 5K ADM to a Bronco, and we've got another thread where when asked how much you'd sell your Bronco for, people say "no way" at 20K (or...
Yes, this is a completely different, and legitimate argument against "shady" dealerships. Shady is when you've got a buyer basically trapped and you change the terms on them. Shady is not when you advertise a car for over MSRP and someone walks in of their own choice and buys it.
Well, I've been educated by this thread. It's all so simple now. To fix the problem of dealers charging ADMs, all you need to do is get rid of the "other" people paying over MSRP and it will never happen again. Easy peasy.
Whenever people (not you) tell me about their stock purchases, usually gloating, I ask them if they have sold yet. They of course say "no". I tell them to get back to me when they've sold and then I might be jealous.
But congrats on your purchases! I hope they work out to much fortune!
If Ford wants the Raptor to be the new low volume Ferrari, so be it. The prices will reflect the demand. But if this is just a supply chain thing, then all someone has to do is have a little patience (no Guns N Roses pun intended) and the prices will revert to mean in the next year or two.
