The chances of a Bronco pickup were already slim being that Ford already has an offroading mid-sized pickup in the Ranger Raptor, seeing how far Gladiator sales are lagging behind the Wrangler's has probably put the nail in that coffin.
Looks pretty clearly based on the Compact Cruiser EV concept they showed off a while back. I'd be surprised if it wasn't electric, Toyota's ICE off-roading SUV segment would be pretty crowded with the 4Runner, Land Cruiser, and a Mini Land Cruiser as well.
Interesting roof design, almost makes it look like it's a separate panel from the C-Pillar, wonder if it will be a convertible or if that's just a styling cue. Looks like they've really dressed up the SUV to look like a 2-Door as well which is pretty nice.
Just makes me angrier that Ford didn't greenlight the new 2.3 for the Ranger and most likely Bronco, it gets identical performance specs to the current 2.7 in a lighter and smaller package.
Do people actually not like the way the new Ranger looks or are they just disappointed it isn't aping the Tacoma like the Colorado and Frontier did with their redesigns?
Really? That's crazy, I'm all for more colors not locked behind exclusive trims but Code Orange was the definitive debut color for the F-150 Raptor, Bronco Raptor, and for the Ranger Raptor in it's Australian debut, I'm shocked Ford would only offer it for one year and not on the North American...
I believe Ford is doing two Heritage Limited colors per year, with Yellowstone and Robin's Egg for 2023, Peak Blue and one unknown for 2024. I'm almost certain Area 51 will be gone for 2024, it's 4 years old now and Ford can squeeze an extra $1000 out of people desperate to have bluish-grey...
Looks like the current colors are:
- Oxford White
- Iconic Silver
- Cactus Grey
- Carbonized Grey
- Azure Grey
- Velocity Blue
- Hot Pepper Red
- Shadow Black
Also in the roster almost certainly are Code Orange and the unnamed Metallic Brown that they've debuted the Ranger Raptor in. I suspect...
Looks great, I'm so glad someone picked up the reigns and built the Defender that Land Rover should have, even if it was a moonshot. Given that Ford is desperately cost-cutting right now and they already have an off-roading midsized pickup in the Ranger Raptor, I'd say the chances of a Bronco...
The International Scout was always very obscure compared to the Wrangler and the Bronco, we're lucky to be getting any kind of revival in my opinion, especially since it looks like they're putting more effort into it than Chevy did with the Blazer. And even if it was fully ICE powered, it's...
Since the link is down:
Yesterday I had the privilege of riding shotgun in a 2024 Ranger Raptor test mule my friend has access to through work. For comparison, I drive a 2019 Ranger Lariat with no mods other than the Ford Performance tune. I'm not into off-roading -- other than getting my...
Was it? I remember the original SVT F-150 Raptor being pretty much universally acclaimed, it felt like the grill was the defining feature. The Ranger Raptor grill doesn't look bad but the 'FORD' sticks out like two inches from the surface of the grill, it does look a little bit strange if...
The removable doors and open-air roof are really cool, definitely makes it a more appealing offering than the Bronco Sport. I wonder if Ford will try to add features like this to the next generation. Though part of me feels like they'll purposely keep the Bronco Sport unappealing compared to...
