  1. SSM 51754 : 2.3L Engine Issue - Loss Of Coolant With Coolant In Oil (3/27/23 - 5/18/23 production dates)

Let's cherry pick a little bit eh? Don't forget that the average Mazda RX-8 owner would average 1.5 replacement engines in the 36 month factory warranty period. And the bozo GM who Mitsubishi hired away from Hyundai in 2006 and immediately implemented the 100,000 mile factory warranty. I must...
  2. SSM 51754 : 2.3L Engine Issue - Loss Of Coolant With Coolant In Oil (3/27/23 - 5/18/23 production dates)

Thanks for the tag! Was still out sailing when this popped up. With the 2.3's you should be checking your oil level every month at minimum, weekly would be better. Fuel dilution into the engine oil is an issue with these motors but it's incredibly easy to catch early and prevent from being a...
  3. Bricked Again! - Second Time. Anyone Else?

For trickle charging I have not seen anything on this nor found any information on the Ford battery maintenance hardware/software requiring different charging procedures. That's for jumping a dead battery. It's been standard to chassis-ground the neg of the dead vehicle since the automotive...
  4. I think mice damaged my coil cables.

NP, It was awesome that the other thread gave you the input to sort out this rats nest (pun intended). Sadly they won't cover rodent damage under warranty, and the wiring harnesses for coil packs are usually fairly integrated with the ignition system. This one is going to suck to fix :(
  5. I think mice damaged my coil cables.

Would be good housekeeping to request your other thread get taken down as it's duplicative. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/coil-failure-8k-miles-in.77665/ Glad you found the problem, sorry it's rodent related though.
  6. Another cam phaser failure, horrible Ford quality issue

Those newer post-war cars like your '56, and especially the Ford's with their higher output generators, always had 2 good starts in them. Heck, your little space ship even has drum brakes, another post-war engineering marvel. Bet you can get THREE good stops in, you lucky bastard. Only...
  7. Need help, best way to fix?!?!?

Won't you need the vin number to know if it's a problem? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  8. paint imperfections and interior plastic not fitting

Thats confusing. If they just knock down the surface with wet sanding you shouldn't have to spray anything (ie: color match). Knocking down the imperfections flat absolutely won't prevent there from being issues in the tinted clear that remains, it will be visible. Or they take the area down...
  9. paint imperfections and interior plastic not fitting

Hot Pepper Red? Tri-coats are always a bit more tricky to spray but the factory should be able to do that without dried nozzles flecking goop into the wet paint. If it's HPR, color matching that will be an epic PITA, you really have to weigh if you like the color match more than you like the...
  10. Dead battery

The battery maintenance system has changed since 2019 if you're referring to the '19 GT350 in your side bar (A friend has a '20 GT350 and no issues either). There was a system change to it for MY21. Our '19 Ranger has some issues with draining, but nothing like the '23 Bronco does. I am seeing...
  11. Dead battery

Agree 100%, get rid of the MyFordPass app, remove all the passive-aggressive tracking and monitoring, remove Ford from documenting every minute of what your vehicle is doing. (seriously, get rid of all that crap!) Now head out to an executive board meeting and tell them that in person so it...
  12. Dead battery

I'm sure they are the same, the Tiguan and Bronco. VW has an excellent reputation for their electrical systems and infallible reliability. **full disclosure: I tried not to laugh while typing that** No vehicle is perfect no manufacturer is perfect. There will always be issues somewhere in as...
  13. Dead battery

It's a pretty damn impressive system considering the massive volume of features and functions baked in. Does that mean a person needs and/or wants those functions is another thing entirely. All those connected functions and the volume of constant monitoring is going to take a power source...
  14. 2.3L engine dead

Fairly typical of any modern manufacturer to simply replace the engine rather than disassemble/repair/reassemble. If their economies of scale say that's cheaper for them then have fun. It's a new factory built engine, probably far better than your average dealership mechanic could do...
  15. Dead battery

Depleted batteries while sitting are nothing new in the auto industry. For fun look at the constant draw on the Bronco, even with the battery maintenance system these things will brick themselves fairly quickly. FWIW, I would plan on having at least a 3.8 or 4 amp trickle charger if that's the...
  16. Fuel Pump

Okay, that sucks, just like the others who used the much longer fuel pump failure thread.
  17. Dent in my MIC hardtop!! Branch fell onto my roof

You win the internet! You guessed it, I only work on 2-stroke unicycles and the only forum i've ever been on is this one. Nicely done! Where do I get red shackles for my front bumper, and you've changed the world, fiberglass is the indestructible roof material of the gods! (PS: don't look at...
  18. Dent in my MIC hardtop!! Branch fell onto my roof

At this time there isn't a solution to "why are these roofs made with terrible materials?"... If there was the answer of "company X makes one out of stamped aluminum" then I would have been singing that from the trees. As for the OP, I would personally fill the compromised roof with silicone...
  19. Dent in my MIC hardtop!! Branch fell onto my roof

Yea, fiberglass is essentially the bulletproof material which served so many so well for so long.... It's strange how you don't see too many of these cherry body kits anymore, why is that? Oh right, Pepperidge Farm remembers.... It's because they crack like crazy and are ridiculously time...
  20. Has anyone seen this??????????

Had assumed this thread was about how to properly use ten question marks in a sentence!!!!!!!!!! Came here expecting tumescence, leaving with disappointment and no better understanding of how to use ten question marks. Maybe that was how you scuffed your console, dropped a metric ton of...
