Hello,

Anyone here swap out their rear diff fluid yet? The diff cover itself is course and I’m wondering what ford uses to seal it from leaking? Is it a gasket or RTV? If it is a gasket, does anyone have a part number?

Thank you!

It has a reusable rubber gasket like the M220 in regular broncos.
PC3Z-4036-AA is the part number.

Is this the same for the braptor? I only ask because the braptor uses a Dana 50 where the other broncos used a Dana 44.

The part number I posted is for the Raptor, it's the same type of gasket.

@Ducati1098 last question, do you know the torque specs needed for the diff bolts?

When I did mine, I reused the gasket, cleaned up the surface and good to go..... pretty easy. I do wish ford made a cover with a drain plug but for as rarely as I'll do this I guess it's ok. My fluid at 25k was pretty clean, I used amsoil 70-140 to refill.

I’m actually working with someone to make a billet cover with a drain plug. 😁😉

keep it under $300 it will sell.
Honestly, pricing hasn’t come up, but the company I am working with on this only puts out amazing products. The attention to detail is next level, and the materials used are American, so I’m sure they’ll be priced accordingly.

Encourage them to copy or very closely imitate the internal shape of the factory unit. It is designed/engineered and tested to produce desirable fluid flow and lubrication. I've seen other units create very poor flow with modified internal shapes.

Well, I suppose alternatively they could embark on a huge independent engineering effort to have their own shape. That seems cost prohibitive and not typical of the off roading aftermarket community, despite how nice of a product they may be making (i.e. not enough engineering...).

The stock one was 3d scanned so I am going to guess it will. It was a 3d scan of the inside and outside of the diff cover.
