Maybe...but I got a message from a pretty large dealer (125 allocation estimate), who initally said they were converting about 80% of orders, but now says they are going to be right at 85% for pre-Sep 19th reservations converted. I haven't heard any dealer say they were as low as you are suggesting....it would be intersting to hear from more dealer son their rates. I thought Granger would be higher than the norm too, but maybe they had a lot of fliers who just saw a good deal and reserved, and the normal local dealers will fare about the same or better.

I think our conversion ratio will end up being higher than the "average" dealership. My conversations that I have had have been very well informed buyers on the forums mostly and they are happy to sign up. That being said, our cancellation ratio is a "total" so that includes someone who cancelled on July 14th through today. So the amount of calls we've had where someone has backed out is less than half of that, so I can definitely see if they are going off of their list that was remaining reservations on January 19th that they would be converting at 80%, but they are forgetting about the people who cancelled prior to January 19th. 85% of our cancellations came BEFORE January 19th.

Great info. Not to shine bad light, since Granger is the best - but the 25% fall out may not be indicative of the market since so many early res 6G holders piled onto the Granger deal and there was a large disconnect between early/ier reservation holders that made the allocation cut-off.
That's a good point....a good portion of the 25% may have moved to to other dealers with more favorable looking allocations. I was at Stephen's and had to move, as I couldn't even see the front of the line there were so many day 1s in front of me and even with a week 1, I had no chance at a MY21...Stephen's still called me to convert it, even though I had moved the reservation and ordered already.

25% cancel/not responding is interesting. That’s a decent amount. Keep up the good work and can’t wait to hear from you.
The part that blows my mind is the folks not responding or no contact. Don't you want your $100 back? I assume that if you cancelled your reservation through Ford that the dealer would be notified.

That is correct. The last thing I want to do is cancel someone's order and they actually wanted to keep it they for whatever reason couldn't respond.

Does that cancellation percentage also include people who cancelled a second reservation (but are going to still convert and purchase with another)?

For those dealers claiming 80%, remember a high percentage of them are not honest like Granger, 80% sounds like normal dealer salesperson boosting.

Question about orders, will you get a confirmation if your order is coded 99?

I thought this would be some interesting data we'd pass along from a Ford dealer located in Granger, Iowa. This is a sample size of early reservation holders of a few hundred total.

53% of Converted for 2021 Model Year Broncos
25% Cancelled or will not respond to email/phone call on multiple attempts.
11% are opting for a 2022 Model year reservation
11% Order In-Process debating trims, 22 vs 21 MY, etc.

My initial guess was that 40% of overall orders would convert. That could still hold true as these numbers of this sample size are well within the July timeframe and all within the first week of reservations. The farther you are removed I would anticipate a longer delivery estimate and a higher fallout rate. I'm not sure how well our sample size is indicative of the overall dealer body.

Zach
I need to follow up with Albert as I haven't had a chance to return his call regarding my order yet from earlier this month (working crazy hours right now). Hopefully I’ll have some time available tomorrow morning to reach back out to him.

Im working stupid hours right now and by the time Im finished working for the day its close to 10pm and my day starts at 3am. Finding a solid break is difficult right now for me and I haven't checked my personal email account in weeks. But I do know I missed a call from Granger earlier this month.

It seems like semantics, but does your 53% converted rate intentionally exclude all of the builds which aren't eligible for MY21 builds due to content?

Technically as long as you're building something that's on the order sheet it's a MY21 Bronco even though in reality it's a MY22 build.

Obviously opting for MY22 is what it is. But it isn't a MY21 build that gets pushed back to MY22.

Did you at least send him an email?
LOL, you have the time to post here but not keep him in the loop?
Poor Albert. ;)
