@Gloff Are you able to share how many reservations (FE and Total) you guys got sent your way? How they are getting scheduled to be produced is also a huge mystery to me...

Super glad I was able to get mine switch to you guys, seems like some folks have been put through the ringer with their dealerships.

Typically Sean will tell you but I believe he likes to do it via email or PM vs out on the board.

I got a chance to meet him on Monday during the event and he told me all that info, as well as other things.

I actually found out that I moved up in line a ton and now fall into their "20%"...so now it's just up to Ford because my WT has all the deadly sins.

That's got to be a good feeling.

I know I moved up, but no way was it enough. I was around #420 when I converted my order.

Would've like to come out there for the event and met Sean, but they're going to be much closer to me on Friday, and I really want the wife to try getting in/out.

The most astonishing thing I took away was how short (in vertical height) the windshield is. I feel like so much view is obstructed. The open air experience via the top is great, but the actual periphery of the windshield is so, so small to me.

Gotta be honest, guys. I'm having doubts for the first time. I feel like I need to drive my build to see if this is for me. šŸ˜¬
Likewise after having seen them in Morgan Hill my lady and I both felt that the Bronco's windshield felt short compared to both of our usual daily drivers (Honda Element and Subaru Crosstrek). I'm 5'11" and my lady is 5'4".

So I subsequently went to the Serramonte viewing with the main goal of focusing on the cockpit feel and view (with the drivers door closed). Here are 2 photos that point to why the windshield feels "short". Note the difference of between how low the drivers door window looks compared to the windshield. I think that may make the windshield feel smaller.

Also after playing with the seat controls a bunch I felt like the windshield was plenty tall enough as long as I had my head up high enough (see eye level shot with seat "pumped" up a bit in 2nd photo). Anyhow that's my 2 cents on the windshield height.

Still excited to test-drive one and was super stoked to learn that one of the test drive demo Broncos coming to Serramonte will be a 7sp manual!

Looking forward to June-ish test drive!

Oh and we both thought that those tube step running boards are awful (hated them). Was SO much easier to get in and out of the Black Diamond without em.

Great news on the 7 speed manual. My heart wants manual and head wants auto. From 96 to 2011 I drove a manual in the Bay Area and I grew to hate the one hour stop and go highway commute with manual but damn itā€™s fun in every other situation.

It's possible Sean got his numbers mixed up and told me wrong, but I originally was told I started out at 350 and now at 150 so I dunno ?!?!

I think youā€™re in good shape. Along with the drop outs a lot of folks decided to wait for the colored modular hardtop, opting for a MY22 build.

We have 630 active reservations. Last count was 12 or so FE. We have about 240 buildable actually ordered (lots of people waiting for 2022).

Scheduling is incredibly complex. First they figure out how much of each item they have then schedule based on the timestamp that fits those parts.

I work for Dealer Services International/ 4wheelparts. We have exclusive aftermarket upfits for the 2/4 door broncos (like pictured below). Ive been pushing to my dealers, do you know if the bronco builds are being effected by the semi conductor shortage for the higher trims?

That's corporate level, they don't tell us that much detail. Wouldn't DSI already know that information, being an exclusive upfitter?

We know as much as the dealers do when it comes to allocations and build dates. Every dealer i talk to about any model stock being held up it keeps getting pushed back for delivery to the dealers. I wasnt sure if there was a hold up with the broncos because of the tech. in the higher trims.

We don't know anything more that what's already been covered here on the forum. Basically, it's all coming down to supplier constraints and what parts are available. Sasquatch, leather, 2.7L, and lux packages are going to take longer to schedule. Right now Soft Top and base/bb/bd trims are scheduling more quickly. It's not a delay per se, just what is available.

Hi Sean,

Thanks for getting back to us on this. For good reason I did not read every message on the thread that started on Thursday regarding production dates and order details. What I took from what I read had more to do with people puzzled and some even upset that have identical or close to identical builds that included some of those or all of those same seven deadly sins that were reserved far after their reservation time stamps is what was drawing the most complaints. We probably all know by now the formula Ford is using but seeing orders that might be close to our own build being scheduled and in some cases having much later reservation dates and time stamps is what seems to be drawing the most ire. It appears that a reality that is setting in. Personally I had low expectations. I gave myself 0% chance of my order being scheduled for production on 4/15 and 10% chance on 4/22. I was giving myself those odds based on my reservation being first night but in the third hour. Having said that Iā€™m not sure what odds I give myself this week, but Iā€™m keeping them low ( <0% ) as I have many of the deadly sins so Iā€™d rather be very surprised than disappointed. Thanks

The deadly sins aren't really deadly, it's just that the demand is so high it makes it less available. There was the idea floating around that if you had those options you wouldn't schedule.

Normally, Ford randomizes the order in which dealers get their orders scheduled (on a regional level). I don't know how this has changed (if it has) for Bronco. So when the scheduling system gets to my turn in scheduling, it looks for the first clean order that fits the commodities available. If I'm last in line for scheduling, and commodities are no longer available, it'll pull a more basic order. That's why someone with a later timestamp may get theirs built, they may be in a different region, or their dealer was earlier in the scheduling queue this scheduling period. See the below comments on scheduling from a post on another Ford forum.

FocusRS.org said:
Scheduling usually happens Thursday night (allocation happens Wed night and we get the results sometime Thursday). Basically itā€™s all done by computer (unless something like a priority 01 may be manually scheduled first to make sure it gets scheduled). It lines all the dealers (that have allocation) in some sort of random order. If there are no commodities, this is easy, first dealers unit scheduled, second dealers, third dealers, etc, Once all dealers first allocation has been scheduled they go to the next round and do the same for the dealers that have a second allocation, once everyone's second is done they go through those with a 3rd and so on. Now thatā€™s in a perfect world where there aren't any commodities.

Here in the real world it works a little different. Commodities screw this all up. Right now most vehicles only have 1 or two commodities so itā€™s not as big of deal. At times there might be 10 different commodities that are all separate and different and can make things difficult.

If when scheduling gets to a dealers allocation, and his order has a commodity that has already run out, they skip him for that pass. He doesn't loose his allocation, it gets used in the next pass, but it can cost him in other commodities.
I know there has been a lot of lost patience on the forum, and I think some perspective may help. Ford has to try to make it equitable for all parties, the customer, the dealer, themselves and of course the hard working women and men of the assembly plant. Ford invented the assembly line, and they've been building cars for 100+ years. Considering the unprecedented issues in auto manufacturing, the fact they're launching the 2nd most anticipated vehicle in company history in a global pandemic, and they're launching an entire accessory business to go with it, I think they're doing a fine job.

In the end, anyone who wants a Bronco will be able to get one, just a matter of time.

@Gloff - I have a friend that had another dealership in Northern California convert his reservation to an order on March 8th, 11 days prior to the deadline of March 19th without any notification. Do you have any advice on what his options are? He is obviously a little upset that his reservation was converted prior to the deadline without being notified. Can he move his order to another dealership (Serramonte) or is it too late? If not, does he need to request his $100 back from the dealer in question and start another reservation, then file a complaint with Ford to try and get his place back in line?

Any suggestions would be helpful.
