This is an interesting youtube vide of International Dyno Authority out of Canada getting some impressive results from a cold air intake and a tune. Anyone in the states with similar results? Not sure I want to foot the fuel bill to drive that far north for a tune lol! It would have also been nice to see the results of the tune with the stock intake system.

I drove a tuned GTO for a while. A 25% increase in power and torque was easy. But it did NOT help fuel economy, even if I babied it, that's a pipe dream. I thought that no one had cracked the Ford ECU so it could be openly and individually tuned yet?

Hey Gerbi151, wow, very impressive increase, way to go. I have been looking at many ways to increase the horsepower on my Bronco. I have already added a CAI and a catback exhaust, and am now considering upgrading the tune. As we know, Cobb and Ford Performance offer tunes, but this one produces more results. I am curious, was this an all-day tune or a full-day tune? Depending on which one it was, and if you are open to letting us know, I would be curious as to the cost vs the above two options. Thanks.

Might as well up it to race fuel.
Pain in the ass to get and makes to big of a gap to use octane booster.

I carry 2 bottles of booster as it is incase of a station that only has 89.

If you go to the website they have pricing, info, and check list on it. You can also schedule a tune appointment

This is the first cracked tune. Sure others will be offering a chip later this year. Problem with the chip is itā€™s a generic tune where this one is tuned for your specific vehicle and parts. Dyno tune will always be safer and better than a tune box or chip.

I just was emailed last night the last 2 pieces of my performance upgrade shipped. Should have them next Tuesday. If the truck runs for a couple weeks with no codes I will be headed to Canada to get it tuned by then. Will probably have to change the plugs before I go.

Unfortunately C.A.R.B. Has put a huge damper on the aftermarket industry in the U.S. it will be a couple more years before someone will be able to sell custom tunes. Everyone is getting hit hard with large fines mostly the diesel guys. So Canada is your only option or the Ford performance tune.. Iā€™d heavily stay away from piggy back plug in tuners.

This is not my video or Bronco just sharing with the group to see if anyone in the US was doing this type of tuning.

My 2 door 2.3 Badlands 7MT is pretty peppy with the Ford Performance tune and pedal commander but nothing will beat a custom tune whether itā€™s 2.7 or 2.3. Iā€™ve had turbo Subarus since 2007 and all of them were custom dyno tuned after parts installed. Iā€™m wonder WHY there are no (or very minima)downpipes, injectors, intercoolers, or fuel pumps on the market right now for Broncos. I see the results tuners get with the Ecoboost Mustang 2.3 and other 2.7 EBs and not much has been done with the Bronco. Why?

I think my 2 door would be insanely fun with an extra 100 Hp and Torque or whatever, multiple tunes for off-road vs highway etc.

What would be cool is if you could tie the tune to the different GOAT Modes instead of just throttle response. @Ford Motor Company you listening

Itā€™s still a pretty new vehicle, and Iā€™m sure a little different than whatever else Ford dropped the 2.7 into. Plus, being this is an offroad vehicle the aftermarket attacked that aspect first. Iā€™m sure weā€™ll more see stuff in the future with regards to performance. I myself am interested in turbo upgrades.
