Curious… Has anyone tried washing their Bronco with the top down or off? I’ve had my hard top removed the past few months with all the nice weather in Dallas. Hate to have to put it back on just to hand wash it. I’ve seen a few videos of folks washing their Jeeps with the tops off...anyone tried this with their Bronco?

Are we talking normal washing or if it’s muddy? Normal washing you can you waterless car wash. I’ve used croftgates wash for years and it works very well. If you are washing heavy mud or debris off then I would say you just need to be very careful with the hose and angles.

Use a rinse less wash like optimum no rinse and this is doable

I’m trying to find the video of a guy who washed his Jeep with the top off. Just regular car soap and a hose. I know how to do it, but was just curious if anyone else had tried it.

Oh come on!
Anyone with a lick of common sense and a modicum of manual dexterity can accomplish washing a convertible with the top down. Just aim carefully. Sheesh.

Texas here. We have washed with the top down using rinseless diluted in a spray bottle.

I wouldn't try it with a power washer, but a two bucket method would work fine. If you are power washing just be careful around the back and as long as you aim down I don't see it getting too wet.

Is this question being asked towards the female Bronco owners or just a general question?

I wash my Jeep with the top off all the time, it’s not rocket science, just don’t put the hose on blast when you get to the top of the body…common sense.

I often wash my classic Bronco that way. Aim hose down, and use a piece or cardboard when rinsing close to the interior edges.

If I remember correctly, I have only washed my Bronco with the top on it twice. All other times, including over the weekend, have been with the soft top in the down position. Just requires a good hose nozzle and semi-decent aim. As long as you are not this guy you should be fine.

As a female, I can attest to preferring to wash a vehicle in a bikini to or sports bra. Does that count as top off?
