In referencing number four(4) "wind noise, Do you have the insulation headliner with the MIC ?

In referencing number 4, does your MIC top have a headliner? Second what octane fuel are you using? And to those who recommend driving 65, On I-10 you can't drive 65 (Posted 70-75) with that type of traffic flow.
Yes, have the headliner. 87 octane, I assumed the increased HP using 91 would be even worse gas milage.

Sounds good. I just hate to be in the right lane on route 95 in a 70 mph zone, going 5 under the limit. Lol
Paul, when I'm on I-95 in Florida I just get in the right lane at 5 over. Then everyone passes me, and I'm still making good time. Now, and I'm sure you know, all bets are off if you're on I-4. :p

Has there been a good, reasonably priced option for mudflats?
Yes, if you don't have SAS or the factory rock rails:

RAIN-X makes a great washer fluid, and Glade Orange or Lemon spray melts the bugs off almost all surfaces. (from an old biker)
Glade?
I’m old , and a motorcyclist (cf “biker”), and I’ve heard of Pledge for cleaning plastic, such as on MC windscreens/face shields/etc, but never Glade…….urge great caution.

can you post pics of your splash guard? Didn't you have to modify it?

btw i used "Invisible Glass" for the first time .... the stuff is incredible in the rain ... $4 at walmart
I will when I get them. I don't have SAS or rock rails so no mods needed.

2300 rpm is not in the power band for this motor. That's why you noticed it was in boost most of the time. 10th is plenty high. You are pushing a brick through the air, so MPG is going to suck the faster you drive.
I prefer to be around 2600-2800rpm cruising. That is where this engine starts to develop most of it's power and is rarely in boost.
So more likely the aerodynamics rather than the power killing things at that speed. Good to know. I was actually more frustrated with the wind noise than the gas mileage, but I guess that's the trade-off for having a four-piece lightweight removable top.

Thanks for sharing your experience(s) in the new Bronco!

I live near and drive on I75 in FL in South Fl. At 70-75 I get passed like I'm standing still but drive that speed anyway in the right lane. (Most people drive 80-100). It's safer and really helps with the MPG no matter what I am driving.

I was hoping to get 22-23 in the Bronco.......but I have an unusual commute. I drive almost non stop 50-60 MPH for 40 miles each way into a remote area where I work. In my 2019 Silverado LD Double Cab (4 X 4) with 5.3 I average an astonishing 23.8. The truck is heavy (5000 LBS) and EPA rating was only 15 and 21. My Bronco I am going with is one of the lightest weight ones (4500, maybe?)- 2 door base (with SAS though) and 2.7. From reading it does not seem like I will get better than 20.

For the bugs on a near vertical windshield, I have an ideal solution. My work commute as I noted above has so many bugs, every day splattered over the windshield and front end- especially on my 97 Wrangler. It's a bug magnet. I carry a "bug" bucket- a container with a lid (bought from dollar store), filled with water that I keep in a larger bucket with handle with a soft detailing cloth in it as well. (I keep the cloth in a plastic bag). I pour the water from the container into the bucket, then wet the cloth. I wipe the windshield and front end when I get to work and when I get home. It seems tedious but works and sometimes there are so may bugs splattered it's hard to see out of the windshield! I thoroughly refill the container a couple of times a week and rinse or clean the cloth with car wash solution periodically. I also take the "bug" bucket with me on any trips. The cloth gets nasty so I have to change it out a few times a year.

To your point, 850 miles from Chicago -> NYC with an average speed of 82mph…

2.7 Sasquatch, regular fuel

Tried premium w/ Eco mode in the other direction, got 14.8 mpg. Go figure
