Curious to see what certain %ages look like - 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%. I’m sure many others would want to see as well.

Personally, I’m in between getting 25 and 30 (as I found that 20% multiplied by stock front Windows which are 75/80% ends up being a bit too dark for night driving and it’s about 18% in combination. Where factory tint for the rears usually reads about 22%, making 25% film for the fronts a better match visually while improving night driving. But may even go to 30% since I have a black interior and there’s no panoramic roof. I just put 35% on the front sides of an xc90 (wife didn’t went to go lower) and it has better outward visibility but just a hair too light. Although I must say with the black interior and the panoramic cover closed, it looks like a decent match to the naked eye. While I don’t think I would go 35% on the bronco, I could see 30% being a viable option as well but leaning towards 25%

My town doesn’t have traditional street lamps, it actually is lit by 100 yr old gas lamps every few hundred feet to provide just enough glow on the sidewalks but for drivers its basically pitch black at night. Which is why I’ll probably not go to 20%.

I put 20% on my front windows on my F150 to match the rears and while it took some getting used to, my vision during night driving was perfectly fine.

Interesting thread to see how well the front tint matches up with the factory rear tint. I think you may be right that 25% might be the closest match.

Goin dark on the front sides look awesome ,when you have to be careful is right turns at an intersection if a ped steps out and your looking left for traffic it could be bad.Was on my bike and watched a car with limo tint run over a lady and not even know! Be careful.

Starting from no tint on the base, I went 25% on the back and 35% on the doors. Ohio doesn’t like the super dark stuff on the driver and passenger windows.

It is also interesting to see how the darkness shifts as the angle and brightness change.

Anything darker than 30% on front windows is illegal in Texas.

Got it as close to factory as I could. Believe 25%

For Texas, current law is 25% or greater VLT for front driver and passenger windows and that is inclusive of the original factory tint. So, I suppose have to be careful when adding after-market tint to account for any factory dye in the glass. Most shops just throw the legal compliance sticker on the lower corner driver side and then no issues with passing inspections, etc. even if it's off a couple percentage points. Did you use 30% film on your Bronco in the pictures?
