agreed BUT the resolution is crazy good in the GEN3 Raptor. About time for a 70K+ vehicle.

The resolution in my Raptor is horrible. It's much worse in the rain. Our Audi and Subaru are crystal clear.

Do you notice a difference in quality in the day time? My thought is that at night the quality will be much lower because the software has to bump up the ISO in order to be able to see. Causing more grain, and noise equaling a low quality image.

My opinion is the bronco has the best resolution backup camera I've seen. Mine looks great. I do have the 12" screen, so that may be a factor. But...

The backup camera does not have night vision. Unless it's well lit, the camera uses a very high ISO to produce as bright as an image as possible in low light.

The side effect is an image like you describe.
You might need to try some other vehicles?

The backup camera without the 360 camera view is an analog input I believe.

The 360 cameras which is on the high package and up is an digital input.

The digital inputs goes to the ipmb module.

I do not believe there's a impb module unless you have the 360 cameras (that's based on as build data from VIN numbers)

I find the cameras to be good ( mine are digital/360)

I assume you only have the backup camera when you say the picture quality is lacking.
Would that be correct?

The 360 cameras used in High package are higher resolution and different than the kit that comes with the basic back-up camera.

I have a BaseSquatch and I agree, night view is horrible. Daylight not bad as long as I clean the camera every few days.

Disappointing given how much Broncos cost.
What are you unable to see with the camera?

The mirrors have "blind spot views", I can see just fine though the 8" screen and the visibility is clear enough to provide the intended service.

I guess I don't know what people think they should be seeing that they cannot.

My camera is so bad that at night you could not see a 5 gallon bucket on the ground if it was centered up between the truck. Very poor image quality. I get that the camera is a tool to be used with mirrors, however it's a feature that we pay for and it is subpar quality given the world of very cheap hd cameras and LCD screens.

I did not say the camera does not work or that I feel I should see everything while using it. I was stating my disappointment that my $42000+ Bronco's backup camera is considerably lower resolution than that of my friends $27000 RAV4 backup camera...as well as cameras on older vehicles. The camera is fine, but definitely lower resolution than I expected on a flagship vehicle which I consider the Bronco to be. I will be curios as to the resolution of the Maverick's camera.

yup, I’ve found this to be the cause for me. It doesn’t help that the backup lights are crappy and more or less point horizontal, vs. aimed down. I have to brake to be able to see anything at night.

Can you post a photo? I have high package and the quality is HD. Best quality I have seen on any vehicle, rear light while backing up? That’s another story.
are you talking about the lights not being bright in reverse?

I have the Lux package (12" screen) and it looks very good. Much better than the camera on my wife's 2022 Audi
