Where are you seeing the JCR bracket? It's not on their site that I can find.

Just finished the rough fabrication of my antenna bracket. Still need to straighten it a bit, grind, sand, paint. Will also be adding some rubber to the back side just to be safe. I'll post more pics this weekend when I get time to clean it up.

@Cousin Eddie Any luck getting any further on your install? I think my CB antenna will be best suited for the rear tire or tailgate are too. Curious to know how your bracket worked out. I like the looks of it.

It works well; however, I did snap an antenna after driving aggressively on a bumpy dirt road. Too much flex in the bracket whipped the antenna to the point it failed at the plastic base. The bracket needed some stiffening or more padding between it and the tire/tail gate to stabilize it.

I am going this route:

I currently have everything but a Bronco...
That looks like a good solution. I've never had a jeep nor installed a two way radio before. I wasn't sure what would work or wouldn't so I tried to come up with something on my own. I will most likely switch to this antenna mount option. Thanks for posting!

Here is how I mounted my radio...

I am just sitting here absorbing ideas until ours comes along...

Hey, necessity is the mother of invention, you win some/lose some.

I was planning on make my own when I got a bronco in hand to design off of if nothing better came along... for $20 or whatever nevermind.

What is there to mount to above the visor? Compared to my Ranger with no center console in my mind I am having a rough time figuring out where to mount our radio.

AnyTone AT-778UV Radio (temporary, Wouxun KG1000 on order)
Powered by Aux switch #6
Nice! I like that. Trying to figure out something that’s accessible and not permanent.

Exactly, I forget its there half the time. I noticed there was a bunch of space underneath the steering column (after that metal bracket is removed) so I threw some velcro on the radio mount and just stuck it underneath. Those rubber flaps really sandwich it in there so it doesn’t move at all.

Oh so there's no cutting involved for that location? That's great!
