I can't imagine the logistics of installing parts in a post production environment like what we see in the photo. That has to be costing Ford some serious money over line production.

I'm surprised they don't just ship the Broncos to the dealers as is and have the parts installed there when they are available.
I don't think it's costing them anything because they aren't reworking them. My modules populated 153 days ago and the car hasn't left MAP. I work at an OEM and we had our entire yard damaged by hail (2000+ vehicles). All cars were reworked and shipped in less than a month.

I think they are just waiting for a natural disaster, say a winter storm, to wipe them out so they could just file an insurance claim for the losses and call it a day.

Eloquently put lol. In all seriousness yes I understand it sucks but thats the way things go. I get it can be frustrating on the bright side at least yours is built and awaiting just some final parts man. You should be happy not frustrated or angry. Your wait is almost over. Plenty of people haven't even been scheduled that have orders from the middle of last year or earlier.

No communication being unprofessional seems a little harsh. You gotta realize there's hundreds of thousands of orders in. If Ford had to send emails to people every time something happened nothing would get done. I just don't understand the constant complaining I see on here when the bases of the complaint is "waiting sucks".
Haha. We figured out the REAL cause of the delay. All of the OffRodeo emails. :ROFLMAO:

Welp, im off this crazy train ladies and gents. I haven’t waited as long as some(reservation in 10april2021), but with all this sloppiness from ford with this release, plus the issues that some folks have been having with things breaking, i just put an order in for a 2022 wrangler rubi with a diesel engine for that sweet torque. Should be here in a couple months. Gonna have to worry about the 35s and lift because i couldnt get them stock on diesel but im excited to actually have a timeline and look forward to my tangible overlanding rig! Good luck to you all, it has been an honor(especially after the offrodeo in moab)
What was your build? I'm trying to see if I should be happy for you or for me. Hehe

Yeah, my reservation was in September. No light at the end of the tunnel at all. I talk to my dealer once a week and give them hell. They told me they got a handful of Broncos in yesterday and one was a wildtrack which I ordered to which I asked if they would sell it to me if the owner does not come in and claim it. He said sure but we have to mark it up 10 to 15 K because it’s not your order… I then threw a fit and asked him why do they “have to market up“ being that I am also an order holder and still waiting and have no vehicle and will buy it at that same MSRP and maybe even a little more just to get it now. He said “I will look into it“ the word sense

Two things, 1. I don't think if the folks in charge of sending updates over communicate that nothing would get done. I'm pretty sure that's their only job.
2. It's been awhile since we've gotten an update with any info and it's not an unreasonable ask to have Ford give us some idea of what's causing a delay or at the very least a rough delivery estimate to those of us who haven't been scheduled

That's fair but I don't think there's a person at Ford that's only job is sending emails. If that is a job who do I need to talk to to get it? Lol I'll give you my "nothing would get done" statement was a lot more of an exaggeration and I get your point about "hey just let us know" for those who are just in the dark on delivery. I guess I just give people the benefit of the doubt. I can't imagine Ford's reason for not sending emails is "na fuck em lol" so there's gotta be something thats keeping them from reaching out. Shrug. Like I said, just giving them the benefit of the doubt.

"never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity"
If we were talking about a delay of a few days or weeks that would be one thing but it's almost been a full year since my original order. I get that the pandemic has really thrown a wrench into the plans of a lot of companies but that shouldn't impact their ability to communicate unless communication is also a constraint item

Mind if I steal that quote? That's a good one. I'll give you that communication has been awful no arguments here. In a few more months I'll be at the 1 year mark myself. I just don't know at this point what they can tell us we haven't already figured ourselves. I mean I guess and email saying "yep chip shortage" would be nice just to confirm that's the issue but beyond that I donno what they'd be legally able to divulge.

By that I mean I don't know the legalities between Ford and their chip supplier. Are they even allowed to divulge shipment information "we expect more chips by x date" would be great to hear but who knows if they can actually divulge that. It might cause another company to say "hey why aren't we getting chips x date." It's a weird time but I 100% agree that their communication has been minimal and that does suck.

I just go back to the way the mil handles deployment information. You're not allowed to tell people the day you're coming home for security and I get security threats are a completely different topic but maybe there's a reason they can't tell us anything.

That quote is known as Hanlon's razor. It cracks me up but it's also an a--hole quote even if it's true often.
I guess what I'm looking from Ford at the minimum is some kind of update of what issues are causing delays. They can obscure the details however they'd like. What I'm really looking for at this point is a rough estimate which even with parts constraints doesn't seem like it would be an impossible task.
"Blah blah, something about parts constraints, your Bronco should be built in Q2. Please, note due to instability in commodities further delays are possible."

That's a fair request. I feel like that's not too crazy an ask. I mean an electronic I ordered has been more forth coming with delays and why and when they're expected to ship than Ford has been with the bronco.

I was lucky to get mine so quick.
I hear ya, it's like survivors guilt .... so many friends reserved around the same time, but I'm one of the seemingly very few to get one.

The more this goes on, the more fortunate I feel, yet feel worse for those still waiting .
I thought 2.5 months was bad ... I'm just a punk compared to some of these sentences.
