Dang, I just realized you are only 200 miles away. New dilemma: rent cheap car to drive to Danville; stay the night to clear system of bad taint of cheap car; enjoy leisurely 200 mile drive back in Bronco or, fly to Granger and spend 2-3 days enjoying leisurely 600 mile drive in new Bronco.

I already have the dilemma of color choice. I'm sure I will have 200 more dilemmas for options/accessories once the b&p tool is live. And now dealer choice dilemma??? All good stuff! (y)

If I fly to closest airport and need to rent car to get to you , Can I drop car at your dealership?
Im Guessing you use a certain rental company for your loaners

We actually provide dealer-owned loaners to our service customers when needed. We're a rural dealership, so there's no real option to drop rentals off at our location, unless management comes up with an agreement with a rental company. I'll add this to the list of Q&A. Thanks!

Another question - apologies if this is a repeat
How will you handle trades? Independent local appraisal before coming to WV?

Far east coast here in Jersey. How does everyone feel about putting 500 miles on a new engine and transmission right out the gate. Should we be considering shipping?

We are working on that. We have an option where the customer may be able to go to a local appraiser. Again, we'll cover this in "The Plan" next Tuesday.

I'm not too keen on that idea. Break in period shouldn't be done at a consistent speed like that, but most people will probably say they'll stop off here and there, and switch it up. Just not something I'm looking to do.

I have a lot of miles on my American Airlines account as we haven't flown anywhere lately due to covid. I just think I found a use for them.
I could leave Salisbury, MD by noon and be at Charleston, WV shortly after 3:30 with one stop in Charlotte. Interesting.

I would have to stop here and there. I'm old and I would have to take pee breaks.:p

Good info... I saw this too:

  • Avoid pushing the engine up to redline.
  • Be particularly careful if it's a high-performance car.
  • Don't floor the gas pedal.
  • If it's a manual transmission, shift gears before it redlines.
  • Don't use cruise control. It's important for the engine to go through different RPMs.
  • If possible, avoid short trips that don't allow the car's engine to warm up to normal operating temperature.
  • Avoid towing as it can put a heavy load on the engine, and because the car's brakes and tires require increased stopping distance (see Now That's Interesting).
It doesn't sound like highway driving would break any of those rules in either case, as long as you don't push it at all.
