I honestly am so fucking excited.

I coined it a bit ago that people are looking for the Bronco of the past but we are getting the Bronco of the future. I stand by that.

Dose anyone have the thought of 0f waiting on buying the new bronco after a year or so of production? Just to see consumer reports . Or maybe a bigger motor

I'll wait to see what the production looks like, likely a little shorter for the two door, and with a slightly taller body, and of course narrower, without the flairs, or at least as flaired. I do hope the price of the old ones comes down, because even if the new one is perfect, I'll still want an early bronco.

This thing is a great size. I like that the actual body width of the Bronco R isn't too huge, most of that giant width is outside of the flares. The length also seems about right given this is probably the 4 door chassis and the production 2 door will be a fair bit shorter.

I thought it was odd that the press release specifically referred to the 5 link rear suspension being production configuration but not the front.
That stood out to me as well, the explicit reference that the rear suspension was based on production parts, and that nod was absent regarding the front.

This thing looks like it's about 90" wide so .... the statement in the article about "proportions" can't be taken very seriously.

If the "race" one is boasting a whopping 14" of suspension travel, not even up with most side by sides... Maybe Ford needs a pic of jeeps crawling on eachother's 37s.

If it is an IFS, then this truly is another FJ. Not gonna slap big tires (37+) on a factory sheetmetal one like the wrangler they're trying to compete with.

I sold my rubicon in anticipation for this thing, if it is an IFS, I'll be buying another rubicon. I have a few other mall crawlers...

Luckily I was able to back down the mountain instead of walk
I'm often with dogs on old Forest Service roads with no cell coverage...4-5 miles from asphalt......keeping the wheels turning is my top priority

Even assuming we're looking at the 4-door wheelbase, the 2-door will still be huge. Just look at the distance from the A-pillar to the front on both vehicles

Don't sell just yet...I'd bet all the Bronco hype will drive Gen1s prices to new heights

me too....but surely at least the 2.7 is available at launch?

Don't forget, this really can be a ranger chassis. The 2019 ranger raptor specifically. It too has a 5 link rear. I wouldn't mind IFS for a daily driver and all. but if they want to even try to step in the ring with jeep, solid axle is the only way to go. Just for simplicity sake of modifying it.
