Where can you buy the little condoms? I only know where to buy extra extra extra large size. 😝
Maybe dental supply?
Lol, dentists/hygienists used to use little finger tip rubbers.

I came to the same conclusion you did after examining the pins and realized it was exactly what you were talking about. Some of the pins are missing that little rubber condom and sure enough, those are the pins squeaking. I have your post bookmarked now to spread the good word.
I didn’t know there is supposed to be a rubber cap over the plastic pin. I have some rubber caps of different sizes that are designed to fit over plastic tubing of various sizes so I may try one and see if that works. The only problem is they are fairly thin and would likely wear through.

Mine just started at 10k miles. Silicon spray on the rubber alignment pin did the trick for now.

A tiny amount of lube seems to do the trick!

A few months back, I used vaseline (cleanest "lube" I could find in the garage) on the pins. I've had them off and on a number of times now ... still dead silent.

This is the official lubricant recommended by Ford in their Technical Service Bulletin to fix this. It’s a silicone grease called Krytox…

Krytox by Chemours GPL 205 Grease, Pure PFPE/PTFE, 0.5 oz Tube (D10170248) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MWLDALQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_A0MK4YR45X7MB7N7QD2S
