Trying to find a kit for my Evo12k, what is everyone using for a kit? Trying to find one for install next weekend. I've found kits for the Zeon, not the EVO. 4WP is paying tax on the Warn winches this weekend, decided to pull the trigger.

Thanks!

EVO line comes with the ability to relocate the control pack. No kit necessary.

At the risk of being pedantic, just about all non-integrated solenoid/contactor pack electric winches are relocatable. It's a matter of extending the appropriate gauge wiring.

Yeah, I have no idea how long the wring is on the EVO, but at least it doesn't require a separate kit like the Zeon.

Thanks! I didn’t understand what a kit was even for, looks like just need some beefy wires and maybe a shut off switch.

Thanks again!

Thanks! Looks awesome! The Evo12 max amps is 396A, that requires 2/0 wire for 5', 2 gauge max is 200 amp. I'll have to look into this a bit more, plus the extension kit is sold out so I may need to make my own wires anyway.

Edit, ordered the BAMF bracket. Code didn't work, they're already running a sale.
Just make the wires it’s super easy. Not to mention cheaper. 300 amp circuit breaker should be enough as it can accommodate 396 a for limited periods of time.

I would not recommend putting the control pack under the hood. Most of the time you are winching, you will need to see what you are being pulled towards. Having the hood open will make this extremely difficult.

Not sure why you would need the hood all the way open to winch when the control pack is under the hood. Just use the wireless or hook up the wired controller and put the hood down where you can see.🤷‍♂️

Hood can be lowered when controller connected but yeah VR evo also has wireless as well. No less functional than being on top of the actual winch.

I haven’t added my circuit breaker/idolater switch as of yet. Also need to clean up wires.

OK - so how is your front camera view?

Also which winch plate kit are you using?

Rough country winch plate, while not a fan of a lot of rough country products, this winch plate was well thought out and allows full sensor and ACC usage without relocating.
