Does your extension sit level? Mine is off about 3/16 down on the drivers side.
Mine is pretty similar, I think for the same reason you mentioned. It’s squaring away to hitch when you tighten cam, but the weight is enough that it doesn’t fully “raise” the weight at the counter end of the lever. But physics would dictate that as long as the male and female are square, it shouldn’t be an issue. Just keep an eye for excessive rubbing/paint loss on the pivot when you remove it! Also, yes, door opens all the way.

I’m looking at one of these for my 1up two bike rack.

Do you think you could post a pic with the rack with a bike and the Bronco door open all the way? The only reason I bought the drivers side was that I did not think you could open the back Bronco door all the way. It does block the plate. I looked all over the net and did not see anyone with a Bronco and passenger extension so I bought this one just to be safe. If that works I will be returning this one. Thanks.

just wondering if the pivot would work with a 37" spare tire? Looks to be really close with a 35.

Hey right on. I appreciate it. Looks like it will work. Probably not with two bikes at full open though. At least it is not blocking the plate. I read about an anti rattle lock on Lowes that looks like it might be the solution to keep this thing level. Here is a link if your interested. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Advantage-...QHVi_Zln-Cy-lhTiKuBoCPmAQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Jim, circling back on a totally unrelated note, is your Santa Cruz a tallboy? I impulse ordered a tallboy, and am wondering if I should cancel. curious on feedback about yours, and Santa Cruz in general?

I can testify that (with my Rola basket) the passenger side Kuat is the perfect solution. The tarp-covered box is the electric Bronco we delivered to our grandson in Colorado.

one thing to watch with the swing-away or any hitch is try to avoid coming in contact with your spare tire as it will leave a mark on your shirt that might not come out.

No it's a 5010 and I love it. I'm 5"10 I have a 32" inseam. The bike fits me great. 27.5 carbon. Couldn't be happier with it. I mostly do cross country. I do some 2' drops and bike park stuff no problem.

I already own the Kuat NV Base 2.0 2-Bike Hitch Rack. Just needed the swing away extension. After doing a little research I decided to go with Kuat Pivot v2 Swing Away Extension Drivers side 2". Just got it today and it works perfect. It is exactly what I needed. I have a 12 yr old Rottweiler and he uses a ramp to get in the back. When we travel and I take my MTB is is not fun to take it all apart to get him in and out. Problem solved. So far so good. I just got it and have only gone around the block. Seems like it is going to work great though. Kuat is very good quality, the fit and finish is nice. Can't wait to take it on a road trip. Maybe Black Bear Lake for the 4th.

I love everything about this except how close the houses are together. LOL. I will miss owning any sizable lot when I end up moving to AZ. With all the land in the southwest this is how they build! it's frustrating. It was the same thing when I lived in NM. Actually this could be NM it's looks so similar.

First task of my passenger side when it arrives will be with a basket hitch carrier.
I finally got around to installing mine this weekend and testing it with the Curt # C18151 basket. I did not use any hitch extension or the 2" folding mount for the basket ( I did not want my basket hanging so far back from my vehicle. If I open my Kuat passenger to 120*, I can only open my Tailgate to 90* due to the spare, but that is plenty for me as I never truly need to open the tailgate past 90*. I got my basket and all just to carry wood and maybe a cooler for camping! Won't be getting it some field use until labor day weekend.
