Well who knows, I do love telling stories though!;)
I can see it now.
You jump up from your navy blue colored camping chair, arms waving, body twisting, while just slightly spilling your drink (but you never notice).

Here are some paint scheme examples for your presentation with the Ford reps. I'm a huge fan of 70s van murals so if this is an option I'm in

Petition Ford to do this to RIGHT a Wrong!

So the Bronco is beautiful and capable and has cool trim names like Badlands and Black Diamond and Outer Banks and Base….Base?! What the bloody!!o_O

So you drive to work in your brand new cool as a cat-that -jumped-off-the-Empire-Freaking-State-Building-and-landed-on-its-feet-Bronco and your cute coworker that you want to go out with (desperately, of course) literally jumps at you and asks what that gorgeous, manly, dripping with testosterone beast is and you proudly, in your deepest and manliest voice proclaim it to be the latest and greatest Bronco!:devilish:
“Which one!” She exclaims, clutching your hairy arm.
Damn, she knows about the trims! They always do!
“The Base”, you squeak, sounding alarmingly like your baby sister.
“Oh”, she says, her grip on your arm lax, her bright eager eyes suddenly downcast and looking away.
There goes your chance for a date to the local Dairy Queen.
Heck, you don’t need to hang out with a Badlands-chaser anyway! You tell yourself, massaging the recently clutched arm.

But seriously though.
The so called Base is in fact the distillation of all the goodness that Ford has created for the new Bronco. It has the genes and all the qualities that create the magic that is the new Bronco. It has all that we really need if we are honest with ourselves. One can add stuff to that basic goodness for enhanced looks or capability but the insultingly named “Base" deserves to be called by what it in fact is, MAGIC.

I think you will agree that Bronco Magic sounds a whole lot better than Bronco Base. It conveys the sense that the Magic trim has all the magic that the Bronco needs and Ford will be astute to know that in its elemental form the Bronco’s magic is being proclaimed with pride! A name that is descriptive and does away with calling the enchanting Bronco a name it does not deserve.

If you feel that Ford should change the name of Bronco's first trim level to Magic, I implore you to respond with a Yes!

We know that Ford does watch our wonderful b6g forum and if they are smart (which they certainly are, having created the new Bronco! [a little flattery]), and want to do what is right at many levels, they should consider it. There is still plenty of time for them to make this change which is simple but impactful.
As a lady myself, I find it’s a bad sign when a guy spends all his money on expensive toys, it generally means they are selfish and always will be. Base model means your practical. Also 99% of girls won’t know the difference

You had me until “Magic”. I’ll vote for Basecamp though.

What if money isn't a problem. Still same issue with it for Bronco related stuff and he uses it for intended purpose?

There is nothing wrong with Base. It's to late and Ford will never change it. I think you thought about this a little to much and its not really a issue. NBFD really

"Well what they wanna call it"

? *whispers* I think they wanna call it Magic...SpaceCamp...MagicCamp is what I think I read boss.

Boss: I thought they wanted Sasquatch interior with the removable manual solid axle and V8 white tops. Well if it's what the fellas down at B6G want...

It would appear that I am not the only story teller here! ;)

What fantasy world do you live in where a woman ask the model of a car? Or knows when you reply...

So we have nothing but time to kill here so let me tell you a true story .......

I had an employee, female, knew her way around a vehicle. She drove a late 80's early 90's Ford Ranger, lifted on 33's. She had taken a test, passed with flying colors, from Toyo tires that said she was a certified Toyo tire specialist. Had a customer, male, come into the store and when asked by the girl " cant I help you?", his reply was "NOPE, I need to talk to a guy." I was just behind the shelves and heard the whole thing, so when she came back to get me I said no worries, I got it, you stay back here. When I ask how I could help, he said " I'm lookin for some tires." I replied "No problem, let me get my tire specialist, They just got their cert from Toyo, see !! " and showed him the cert hanging on the wall. Went and got the employee and brought her back to the counter and said " Here is my tire expert" The dude didn't know what to say, JUST DUMBFOUNDED !!!

Dude told her what he was looking for, I stood by in case there were any problems but as I suspected there were none. Moral of the story don't judge a book by it's cover ;)
