They don't sell them as they roll off the line like cheeseburgers. The ones sold in July were built in JANUARY June, and MAP was shut down for Summer break in July, hence the low numbers built.
Fixed it for ya.

Adding to the 2021 numbers...
  • 130,620 produced to date
  • 100,486 sold to date
That many built and sold but still there are so many day one reservation holders waiting for their build.
I am an Oct 20 reservation and no word yet. I am confident i will roll to a '23 model order but most likely roll again to a '24. That way i will have to pay full price since I'm only protected thru '23.

So how do you sale more than you build? It's not like there are thousands of Broncos sitting on the lots.
Because they were completing vehicles on Ice/Dirt/Purgotory Mountain built in Jan/Feb/Mar etc. and delivering them to Customers.

Maybe, during the shutdown and retooling for the Ranger they addressed a few minor issues to improve production quality. I doubt anything major was done. But, a few simple adjustments could be made during this time. My last company often made line item changes/upgrades to software and changes in policies & procedures and data capture during down time and extended weekends. So all changes could start at the same time for everyone & QA could check and correct errors. More importantly, QA would start tracking and change behavior by concentrating efforts on those that failed to implement the new SOP's.

Now ramp production back up to 12,000 to 15,ish per month and finish strong for the last 10-12 weeks (after the break) of MY22 production. Gives us about 35k units or more, to put a dent in reservation orders, and Ford may make quite a few of us happy.
