I'm looking at both the Wildtrak and Badlands. I don't like how plastic looks over time and starts turning gray. I was thinking of have the plastic painted Black on a Cyber Orange Bronco.

I personally don't like the painted flares - I think they actually take away from the looks, but to each their own obviously.

With them removable, you could easily replace them with new ones down the road if/when they fade.

I think you'll have trouble painting them and have them looking good. I used tire shine on the plastic parts on my FJ, and they looked like new when done.

Go to Home Depot and buy some Flood Penetrol -- wear gloves/goggles and sponge on in a well ventilated area...

Being a Jeep JK owner, I hated how the hot Houston sun faded my fender flares -- ended up LineX'ing the flares to paint match, but I use the Flood Penetrol on the bumpers/mirrors/handles and nothing comes close to this stuff

I think I'd probably either remove the flares on mine completely, or just paint them myself.

More than fender flares turn gray with the passage of time you know...

You won't need to paint them if they aren't there...

Personally, I hate paint-matched fender flares - they definitely contribute to the mall crawler look. I think hitting them with some plastic restore when needed is probably all I'll do, especially since they are so easy to remove/replace.

Good thing about them fading over time is they may actually match the carbonized gray top then. ?

Seriously though, Mothers Back to Black should do the trick.

Don't worry about the flares. There will be plenty of aftermarket options. You should be able to get any color and any style you want a year down the road.

I prefer the scratched, broken look myself.

That's what I'm probably doing. I did it on the grill and fender flares for the wrangler I owned.
LineX I meant. If I can paint match antimatter blue then I’m doing it?
