Silver one is a July build 2022 Big Bend. Green one is a January build 2022 Big Bend. Both two door mid package. Anyone else notice this? What mirror do you have? Is it a sasquatch thing?

I noticed this as my buddy has a 22 and I have a 21. I’m assuming it has to do with the mirror whistle everyone was complaining about on the 21s.

Second time I’m seeing this today. Saw posted on FB these are the replacements to alleviate the whistling. But, what on earth would those little wings provide? Kind of an eyesore, no?

"Eyesore" might be a little extreme. They are tiny and black on black. I am willing to bet 90% of those on this enthusiast forum have never noticed if they have these or not. I know I never noticed.

Silver one is my sister's bronco. I 100% guarantee this is factory.

I believe they are vortex generators. They can be used to create a turbulent pocket of air to disrupt the flow over the area where the noise comes from. I've seen them on a lot of different cars side-view mirrors.

I have these on the Lexus. Guarantee these are to stop the mirror from playing Dixie.

Interesting on the mirrors as I did not notice/pay attention - Had a 22 non-Sas OBX for two mos and traded it for 22 Wildtrak, Sas, 2.7 and neither of them had those side mirrors. Mine have the blinker on the side. Only diff between them was the OBX side mirrors were color matched.

This was a MY'22 change. Early MY'22 builds probably received the leftover MY'21 side mirrors. The fins are to alleviate the wind whistle. Build week of 3/15 and my BD has them.

I believe they are called strakes. They control airflow to reduce noise. Some Toyota tail lights have them.
