Unfortunately I did a year and a half ago when I thought I was getting my Bronco.
Here we go Illinois folks a real off road opportunity!
Great event using the trails at the Off Road Park right next to Byron Nuclear Plant.
The 4th annual NUCLEAR FALL CRAWL
Byron Motosports Park - Byron, IL
This event is open to ALL short wheelbase vehicles(137.5in or less).
Gates will open on the 15th at 5pm till 9pm for camping and a night ride. PLEASE do NOT show up early and expect to get in unless you are camping. Please contact Event Staff about camping.
The gates will then open again at 8am on the 16th.
Trails rides start at 9am and are guided only.
EASY trails are on the motocross tracks and wide trails in the woods. NO modifications are needed.
MEDIUM trails are in the woods that will slightly test your skills. NO modifications are needed. This is the most popular trail.
HARD trail is for experienced off roaders. It will test your skills. Minumum 33in tires are required.
There will be food for sale, but you are also welcome to bring your own.
Mud pits again this year.
Camping is free unless you want electric and water.
$50 per vehicle. Includes 2 people.
$10 each additional person.
15 years old and under are free.
Pay at the gate.
Cash only please.

Saw a stripped down and tapped up Bronco at the shop this morning while I was there and the guy said that's what was going down.

It sounds like they're going to make this an annual event. Not sure if the locations will change though. Rocky Glen was fun, I had never been.
