Go look up the mpg and come back and tell me if it's good. I stand by my point even with the phev it still sucks on mpg. It is a gimmick.
It gets 50 mpg which is good. More than doubles a normal Wrangler.

My Dad back in the day had a VW that got 65 mpg diesel. That was like 30 years ago. I really don't think 50 mpg is really that impressive. I think we have honestly been fouled into thinking that is good. But I understand the point of view.

I don't think I've ever had anything that got over 25 mpg combined. At worst, I've had a Grand Wagoneer that did 9 mpg 30 years ago and a Wrangler that did 12 mpg 20 years ago.

Out of curiosity is gas mileage your reason for wanting a hybrid? Or other factors also?

For me I think going fully electric or hybrid would be for environmental factors. I really do love the idea of less impact. Am not worried about paying at the pump if your spending 50k+ cost of filling up should never be a concern and if it is it is time to rethink your finances.
But am a dirty hippie at heart so I love trees ??

50 MPGe? 0-60 in 6 seconds? 400 mile range? I don't see the gimmick. The 4cyl Bronco won't be anywhere near 6 seconds 0-60 and a 400 mile range will not happen on the Bronco 2 door, maaaaybe on the 4 door.

How dare you every question the majestic Bronco! Gods gift to man and women. This is his 8th day creation!
Honestly I just think they could do better and are holding back on purpose.

Yeah but it's not like your 12v battery that needs replacement every 4-5 years

Hybrids have been around for long enough to prove replacement battery issues don't exist

I think they're doing the best that they can with what is essentially a refrigerator box on wheels. That they're beating the numbers of cars specifically designed as hybrids is pretty cool.

Nothing is ever easier to retrofit versus a clean sheet design.

Yeah - I didn't state that very well. I meant when you can give the time and attention to a single element of a vehicle, as opposed to building everything from the ground up at once.

Jeep has the luxury of focusing on one component of an existing vehicle, and not having 1000 other things requiring attention.

Lol, right now there is no gas Bronco. Calm down...this might be what Levine was hinting at...

Yes we all love Broncos and everybody’s needs are different. Those of us that live in $4/$5 A gallon gasoline there is other benefits as well.

For instance those of us that live in Southern California. If you have a plug-in hybrid vehicle you get carpool lane access stickers which are a huge plus when navigating southern California freeways.
