...but wait there's more. I did go ahead and take the top off completely and found several major scuffs and scratches presumably from when the top was initially installed. I have a hoist in my garage left over from a Wrangler, which smoothly lifted the top without incident. I also sent these pics to the salesperson. All but the chipped paint are totally hidden when the top is on.

missing bolts and those scuffs?? I would guess the dealer took it off for whatever reason... Based on that's about the scrapes I managed to do taking mine off the first time 🤷‍♂️

It was still in the factory delivery mode when I initially test drove and it had less than ten miles on it. Pretty sure it’s a factory defect and quality control issue. I’m still waiting for the bolts. My dealer has yet to actually remove the top to inspect the scratches. My annoyance is quickly increasing with the lack of follow through.

I showed my dealer the cracks that are starting to form in the exact same place under the windows yesterday. They took many pics and started a dialogue with Ford. I will update when I hear what if anything is to be done.

Mine was just starting and pointed out at first oil change. Approved for replacement with no issues and took about a week to arrive. Doesn’t come with headliner so they need to order and install separately if you still want it.

My dealer took pics and sent them to Ford over a week ago and so far have heard zero. This Bronco only has 3900 miles and the top has never been removed. Sorry about the pics. It had just rained and it was still pretty dark.

Well I officially have my first hairline crack. It's very minuscule, but I've been laser focused on checking my top a couple days a week since everyone has been reporting issues. Do you think I go to the dealer now for warranty or wait until it gets worse / more cracks form?

A few notes on my specific situation:

- MIC 2.0
- Built in June '22, been driving it since Aug '22
- No crack at time of delivery inspection
- Crack is located on rear cap, below passenger side window
- I noticed it a couple months ago, but at that point was so hard to notice I figured it was just a light scratch.
- Currently have 6,500 miles
- Have not taken the rear cap/top off yet. Just front & middle panels
- Went off-roading for the first time this past weekend, and that seemed to "open up" the crack a bit more with all the bouncing around (makes sense). I suppose I'm not supposed to take my Bronco off-road, lol.

Other than this, my top has been pretty flawless (compared to others).

What should I do?

I would take it now if they are replacing it for others. Once Ford realizes they are all cracked or gonna crack they might change their stance. Many were denied in the past so looks like a new stance recently.

I would get the hard top (which is by comparison cheap) and buy an aftermarket soft top should you want a soft top as backup, because the aftermarket soft tops are far less expensive than the hard tops.

FWIW, the crack is something that I expect that Ford will tell me is my fault (it's not) and I know that it's probably easily repaired with some JB Weld (which will likely be stronger than the top material anyway). Here is the crack...

As you can see, the unwaxed interior isn't looking all that hot either. Excuse the dirt, I was off-roading yesterday.
What, you went off-roading . . . well then your roof is not a warranty claimable item. What were you thinking taking your Bronco off-road like that, totally your fault that the roof broke, plus I am sure that you waxed the inside of it too.

It is clearly a manufacturing defect. Should be absolutely no question on warranty.

It's wild. And still no MOD top for the masses, which is hopefully better but is that one Webasto, too?

Mine has 1200 miles, had it for exactly 2 months today.
Just checked my top out, which hasn't been removed at all. :(

You must have waxed the hell out of it man. It is the only reason that Ford says cracks can happen. :(
