I read somewhere that the weight increase of hundreds and hundreds of pounds REALLY offsets the performance gains.
If I can commute for free, which a plug in hybrid would probably let me do, I wouldn’t care about the performance losses. I’d be saving $100+ a month in gas.

..., IF there is some sort of air/active suspension option , the front IFS with a sway bar disconnect and some computer Tom foolery could be made to mimic a front straight axle in ‘rock crawl’ mode. Possibly by sharing air between the front air springs. ...
Why use a simple rugged lever when you can instead use a novel system of valves, pumps and sensors to simulate a lever.

Sounds like space pen vs pencil.

I certainly wouldn't want to be the guinea pig.

Air suspension has gotten significantly better, hence even the Ram 2500 having it as an option. It’s not 1997 anymore.

I mean its technically not free. You will pay an increase in your electric bill, probably will be less than a gas bill, but its not "Free."

I think you meant "tried"... Tired would be a GM product.
My bad, I wrote that shortly after waking up (get to go in a bit later today)

People actually want EVs?? Why? They're rolling crematoriums on wheels should the battery get punctured
Uh the same thing happens if a gas tank is punctured LOL

Except not every cars a pinto and you hit it right, no explosion
Gas powered cars still catch fire in certain circumstances all the time, just it doesn't make the news like a BEV. I'd venture the say the danger of that is roughly the same between both types?

Well, it is true NASA spent millions developing the space pen while the soviets used pencils.

But last I checked, we put a man on the moon and they didn’t and I can now get a space pen off amazon for $20.

See, I’m the exact opposite... I don’t care about the $100+ monthly gas bill, I want to have a noise making high performing car

There are two types of countries in the world: Those that use the metric system, and those that have been to the moon.

Difference is, I can use a fire extinguisher to put out the fire, electrical fires are a completely different animal and even when it's out, there's a chance for the batteries to reignite again
