Difference is, I can use a fire extinguisher to put out the fire, electrical fires are a completely different animal and even when it's out, there's a chance for the batteries to reignite again
If its that bad, just let the fucker burn-you'll need a new car anyways....

Okay man, we get it, you’re scared of technology
Lived most of my life in Atl, DC, Chicago, Philly where dozens of dealers are at your beck and call. Very different story when you're in a 2-traffic-light mountain town an hour removed from a 'big-3' dealer & 2 hours removed from others.

Give me MINIMUM non-mechanical stuff & I'll sleep much better. Not a question of being scared - just realistic.

Exactly, but again, normal cars the powertrain is in front (Or behind) you, thus giving you more time to react

EV's, since you're on top of it, are a different story

Aren’t all y’all scared of getting your nuts blown off by the hand grenade (cell phone battery) you carry in your pocket all day?

Generally cars are so reliable that it "shouldn't" be an issue...I get the first gen having bugs though.

I've had a loaded to gills SHO for almost 7 years/90K and outside of a fuel pump relay that went bad (was part of a recall notice that I got week after it got fixed) thats been the only show stopping issue with it.

Wasn't sure if I should have liked or laughed at that reply :)

People get so hung up on things because they are "different" or new

If it's out in the open they'll let it burn out otherwise they'll dump it in a pool or fight it in order to contain it.

The end result is the car is fucked and you'll need a new one, they aren't going to fix it.

I hear you & good point. But this damn prosperity we're all enjoying means dealers can't find/retain service techs that can nail technology problems

I'm pretty sure a battery fire isn't an electric fire. Electric fires are easy to put out. You turn off the power. I Google it Li-ion battery fires are class B. Flammable liquid fire.

At this point, I think the only thing that would make me not want to buy a Bronco would be a high price / frustrating option package limitations.

HAHA! Perfect lol

Buncha Luddites.

I'm 100% ready for the electric revolution. This will likely be the last ICE I buy. Electric is just better for everything except refuel times...Which is incrementally getting better.

Guys! guys! Y'all need to cool it with all this gas vs. electric talk. Did you forget that it's protocol to derail the thread with SFA vs. IFS debates?! Buncha amateurs.
