I know some folks want a bunch of stuff on their bumpers for various reasons - but I am going to mostly use mine as a daily driver, beach cruiser, light dirt trails - would love to see a simple aluminum bumper that you could throw some fog lights on and that's it. would anyone else go for something like that? curious because if so, I would think the aftermarket could do that pretty readily

I completely agree. I hate big bulky front bumpers. I prefer something simple like this.

Agreed.
All those oldies look awesome with their simple and clean design.
The front lights are placed perfectly.

I would so rock a basic smooth alloy bumper. Thick though like my eagle, not stamped steel and flimsy. However I would tuck a winch in it somewhere. Maybe central mounted in the rear floor some how.

That’d fit one of the three “themes” I’m considering. For retro I’m thinking Race Red with white roof and grill. Then do chrome handles and mirrors caps. Finishing off the chrome would be bumpers like you posted and a set of American Racing rims.

I like the look, but didn't care much for the function. They were weak. After destroying mine on the trails, I went with plate steel.

I think that would be vintage cool, however I think going with polished aluminum for all the chrome bits you mentioned. Im a vintage guy for sure and I know they have done better in recent years but chrome manufacturing is soooooo nasty. And it can still rust. Unless you are talking about plastic-chrome and that I just cannot get behind. Alloy would give it a cool clean shine, with a touch of aircraft style.

I love those bumpers on the EB's, but they would look very odd on the 6G. Which may be why I like the Mod bumper on the 6G so much. It looks very simple, yet industrial, kind of like the old bumpers.

I like the modular bumper for the BL with the winch... But as far as retro, this will be going on quarter panel just below but probably touching the BL badge...
