i just recently decided on around 3000. on my current hardtail i have about 160mm and i live in normandy park(pretty flat, haven't a chance to do much mtbing coz of quarantine). i do have one kicker and got about 3/4 up the stanchion. don't want to bottom out often so yeah. also the forks and shocks on the shift have lockout sooo?
Okay yeah you can get pretty much anything that isn't carbon fiber for $3000. Equus is right tho, that's a lot of weight for a trail bike.

Haro and Canyon both have nice specs, but Haro weight, ouch!
My Neuron is a solid 5lbs lighter than that stock. I won't tell you it's an awful bike, but Id bet it's not the best bike for 3 grand. Look at pinkbike on youtube where they have the Field Trip reviews. If you're hard set on the extra travel, YT Capra and Canyon Strive are good options too. My buddy has a Strive and the shapeshifter switch is crazy. But there's lots of options out there. Shred on! ?

This is a photo of the fat bike I got so that I could do Bikejoring with my crazy German shorthaired pointer. Should be easier to fit both the dog and bike with the bronco. Hasn't been bad with my Civic hatchback though.

Current ride is a Santa Cruz Blur. That one replaced a Titus Loco Moto that I still have. Also have a Felt F1X that I'll ride on road and off

My Big Unit as raced in Carson City to Tahoe and back. 50 tough miles. I put a 1x11 XT after. Wheels are Dave’s Speed Dreams, Spot fork and other carbon bits. Project 321 hubs. Great bike!

Anyone else watch cycling? The Tour de France was pretty incredible this year.
The tour was really exciting during the Armstrong years for me and the wife. The battles were epic and fun to watch. The doping ruined it and we haven't watched it since. Maybe someday we will give it another chance.

Oh boy. Let's not make a doping discussion out of this. Never makes anyone happy.

It's always been a beautiful sport and this year's Tour delivered. Best since '89.

No desire to discuss it. I enjoyed it for many years. It's a beautifully tough race through amazing scenery. Like I said, I may give it a chance someday.

Just added a Trek Marlin 5 to go along with my Trek DS 8.3. I had to get something to keep up with my 8 year old son when off road. Just getting into, but enjoying it so far!

I have a Trek Stache fat tire bike. I like it on the trails but I LOVE it on the beach. A good 90-120 minute ride in the sand is a great work out. People can't help but smile when you cruise by on a fattie.
