The completely redesigned 6th gen 2023 4Runner will be available in the fall of 2022, looks like this may become a viable option for some.
Pretty sure this is what my wife is truly hoping for after all the nonsense since the reservation and not being clear on several items.

Amen to that. I'm not getting screwed over just because I went for a better deal with a local, smaller dealership.

I already drive a Jeep, I have no issue with buying another if this turns sour.
I see this playing out 1 of 3 ways in my house:
1. Ford can either get $140k from my wife & I on 2 new vehicles
2. We'll stay with Jeep and give them another $110k
3. Toyota swoops in w/ their new 4runner and gets $55k and Jeep still receives $65k.

Both of the first 2 options, and the Jeep part under option 3, I will not be keeping the purchases local here in CO no matter what.

No one cares when and if u get your ride..
You add no value here other than hiding behind a computer screen and giving side shots and people who are frustrated with Ford..

The level of constant complaining on this site is bewildering. You're all so dang excited about the Bronco BUT [insert issue with color or interior or towing capability or available options or marketing or communication or Mike Levine or the location of the got-danged bottle opener!] Jesus Christ. It's a car. It doesn't define you. Aren't there more important things you could be indignant about? You're not obliged to buy it and Ford doesn't owe you anything.

I just for the life of me don't understand the incessant complaining about something that you then claim you're so excited to buy. And, again, it's a car. It's not exactly 100% what I want either and I'm annoyed that it's not sitting in my driveway right now, but to get all frothy over not getting exactly what you want exactly when you want it seems freaking infantile.

Asking for clarification to a couple of key things is what my intention with this thread is. Sorry that you see this as complaining.

EDIT - also, thanks to the admin team for cleaning up those troll posts. It's obvious now that I'm not the only one that is looking for clarification on those two things. (y)

Not sure what the confusion is...unless I missed something. Reservations will be filled as close to their timestamp as possible with flexibility allowed for component supply. Stock units for the lot will be allocated based on how well the dealerships converted reservations and a few other factors after the reservations are filled.

There is where the confusion about allocation lies.. if what you say is true then it’s all good but there are too many other rumors and reports from mainly other dealers claiming otherwise...

not sure what to believe
All I ask from Ford is this...
1st come 1st serve...

And I know I’m low down the list I reserved on July 22.. but I just don’t understand why they came up with this silly allocation procedure..

No, read the other thread. The other dealers are saying that Broncos will be delivered by when dealers enter in their orders. But, it’s also up to how much volume each dealer normally does. So if someone (say Granger) doesn’t sell as much as the #1 volume store, the #1 volume store will get more in that quarter of their Broncos built for customers while Granger orders would have to wait for the next quarter and their next allotment. It completely negates the reservation process and penalizes customers for going for good deals.

Nope. The allocation formula is about how many reservations Ford will attempt to fill per dealership, i.e. how many allocations of Broncos they will receive to fill orders. They were not talking about dealer stock allocations.

It sure has read to me that conversation about allocations was for how to move forward post-reservation fulfillment. It's still going to be a popular ride after the initial wave of reservations. How the dealers behave in the initial phase sets how they have availability in the second.
