I don’t think anyone has stated they should be free but most should have been standard. The items listed in this thread outside of maybe heated seats are amongst the cheapest things Ford could add to the vehicle. They could have added 2-3 hundred dollars and still made a profit on adding 90% of that stuff. It was held back purposely to diminish the base models appeal and push people to the BB so they add the mid package. They just added that stuff so it looks like you got extra value. Two of the things are seriously internal lights lol. Since when is footwell lighting an upgrade? I’m fairly certain my wife’s Cruze has that and the lighted visors and I paid 13K for that car.It seems like a lot of people want more Base features but often don't mention increasing the cost of the vehicle to support those features.
I had an '84 Cavalier that had lighted visors. I just assumed that was standard on every single car/truck. 36 years later, it requires a buyer to move up a trim to have the opportunity to purchase the option.I don’t think anyone has stated they should be free but most should have been standard. Exactly lol. Some of these items are legitimate upgrades, some not.I had an '84 Cavalier that had lighted visors. I just assumed that was standard on every single car/truck. 36 years later, it requires a buyer to move up a trim to have the opportunity to purchase the option.
