I think he means dimensional vs. metric sizes. 35x12.50R17 is a hair larger than 315/70R17.

Lab00Rat help us out with this! It seems no accident that Ford avoided letting us see Cactus Grey under the harsh overhead high bays of the assembly plant and found the one place in the building with a relatively whitish background and no overhead lighting. The white/siver background brings the color out in CG. This looks great but will I have to keep my Bronco in a dark warehouse with exposed insulation to really have the color pop?

Unbelievable!! Just when I think I figured it out in regards to color of Bronco.. Two weeks ago, I was set on AM Blue.. then I saw a real pic and it started to change my mind. Then I saw the beautiful Area 51 over the weekend.. Wow.. looks great with any roof.. NOW Cactus Gray looks amazing.. WTF do I do.. lol

Anyone else feeling my pain.. lol ... Good problems to have..

When I was a kid, I’d visit my grandparents in San Diego. We’d visit the naval yard open houses. I saw this color a lot then; on Willy jeeps and Plymouth sedans with U.S. Navy stenciled on the sides.

Oh gotcha. Well that’s not always true
Though. It depends on the manufacturer.
ie, BFG KM3 and KO2:
35x12.50x17 = 34.5” x 12.5”
315/70/17 = 34.4” x 12.7”
Nobody will be able to tell the difference between those tires even with a tape measure when they are mounted.
